I am buying a new harness because it seems I have multiple shorts in the harness on the motor section between grey plug and sensor plugs. I have sourced several on the internet but seems like I should

Re: Broken wire on crank sensor
You¡¯re right. That 90 degree bend kills the crank sensor wires. On mine the cover was frayed and worn but the wires were intact. I re-wrapped them and hope for the best.

Re: Fuel rail pressure regulator
I have used a very similar version of a fuel pressure regulator with good luck.
Also as you thought one of the connection is for the fuel, the other is Evap.? top is fuel supply bottom if Evap?

Broken wire on crank sensor
This seems to be a common issue. Likely due to location given the heat and vibration and the 90 degree bend of the cable right at the sensor it¡¯s kind of doomed to fail. This is a sohc na 2.5, 2002.

Re: EJ25 Injector testing?
I did not have my injectors serviced and I wish I had. I kinda thought my engine was ready to go but now I think I¡¯ll pull the injectors and have them professionally serviced by Mr Injector. It¡¯s

Warren¡¯s Conversion - 2.1 Engine and Tranny Removal
I thought as I move to phase two of this project it would make sense to start a new topic related to pulling the engine and transmission from my 89 Westy.
Hang with me as I¡¯ll need some advice

Now the engine is on the motorcycle lift and I¡¯ll move it aside as I get started on the next phase.

Re: Warren¡¯s Conversion
I got the flywheel installed but when I tried to torque the bolts the engine wanted to turn (backward no less!). So I used my crank pulley tool to brace it.

Re: Warren¡¯s Conversion
Okay, after reading directions more carefully the studs have to come out because they are replaced with bolts.

Re: Warren¡¯s Conversion
Here¡¯s a shot of the engine on the motorcycle lift. It¡¯s resting completely flat and stable on the RMW oil pan which is so robust I¡¯m sure it¡¯s suitable for the task.

Re: Warren¡¯s Conversion
I used pipe nipples and washers between the rails to keep the channel from getting bent when tightening the bolts. This whole idea was great for a Subaru engine but I¡¯m not sure I would trust it on
