Indeed. That's the key element here.
I'd also suggest using a flex joint if you are going with SS.
It's thinner walled and more "brittle", and without any harmonic-vibe
dampening (read: flex joint) they are doomed to crack somewhere.
Mild steel just doesn'd do that though, at least in my experience.
