Re: Tranny

Darrell Boehler

Hi Andrew,
I found their web site and copied the following

These are just some of the products we have available to suit VW.

Types 13, 002 and 091 1st gear ratios
2nd
3rd
4th
4.38:1 to 2.58:1
2.62:1 to 1.58:1*
2.05:1 to 1.00:1* (**) (***)
1.50:1 to 0.64:1

We have over 100 ratios available for Volkswagen!!

Phone 562 598 2731
Fax 562 598 8191 Eric Co

We require distributors for UK and continental Europe
If the product you require is not listed, contact us now!

*requires special primary shaft
** require special bearing kit
***standard ratio

The site says to contact weddle here in the NA. Does anyone know if weddle
will sell just a 4th gear set? Making 4th a little taller maybe cheaper
than going to 15 inch wheels and tires. Albins mention they have 4th
gear
sets as tall as 0.64 Stock on our 091 transaxles is 0.85. On the surface
this looks pretty good for those of us with a stock 2.2L. 3rd and 4th gears
are reasonable easy and cheap to change ( they don't require any shaft
replacement) I have inquired to their 3rd and 4th gear optional ratios for
the 091.

Darrell
