Larry,
-I plan to rebuild my subaru engine, it runs well BUT HAS 220k
miles. Any good sources for such parts???
You can probably get 3 used Suby low miles engines from Japan for the price
of your
engine rebuilt. Check compression and if it is way below spec it isn't worth
installing it
Wasseeleaker rebuild can cost $2-3,000 and Suby is a lot more complicated
*-What electrical items do I remove and leave in the Vanagon
before I install my new Subie engine????
Choose location of ECU first, make new harness, install it and then install
the engine,
i know it's hard to resist temptation to see the Suby engine there but it
makes harness
installation harder
I really need all inputs possible here so if you have any experience,
or working knowledge or leading, pls. contact me.
