I also have a SB 9 B.? I have had it for a decade or so.? It is a good little lathe.? The spindle bore is a bit limiting, probably my biggest complaint.? I have been toying around thinking about getting something bigger, maybe a turret lathe as that would help with the bigger swing and bore size as well as helping with repetitive tasks.
The SB 9 is a wonderful lathe for learning on.? I think of the flat belts as a fuse. I keep them just tight enough so they will slip when I do stupid stuff.

The 10K is almost the same lathe only adds 3/4" to the swing and
it take a 5/8" collet.?
