Not a Kindle girl, but will hunt the actual book as it seems like a terrific read regardless!

i have a treasured Irish friend whose birthday is on...Saint Patrick's day, or near about.
He is having a party featuring stories and song, and saucem and tea.
anyway, I seek a funny short Irish Heroes or legend story I can tell, the event is for adults if that resonates.
Given he specifically included honoring Irish heroes in the invitation, leaning that way might be fun.
any ideas, or good story collections I can consult?
A poem will work too so long as it is funny.

what makes this especially meaningful is the tool is often a workplace one.

Delaware laws and courts have historically been favorable towards them.

Ot: of the less fun kind, legal advice on software?

Hi folks,
asking given the amazing and various professionals from around the world here.
Anyone know how legal jurisdiction works when a software program is used world wide?
I imagine this may or may not be shared in terms, but I am wondering if I must seek a lawyer in the state where the software company is located, or, if they have a office near me, if I can work from here?
Company is based in California, in case we have any legal minds from the state.
Thanks,
Kare

Who says he didn't? We don't get an answer either way.

The human body can hold about 2 to 2.5 gallons of liquid before drowning in excess. It can also not hold that amount of protein without reacting negatively. This is why no one can drink an entire gallon of milk at once.

So why do I keep reading about Quirrell draining a unicorn of all it's blood? It shouldn't be possible. And the amount that he could possible drink shouldn't have killed the unicorn.

Now I believe he killed the unicorn before starting to drink from it. But I also think he should have brought something to hold the excess, maybe. It just bugs me that it is so unclear.

Re: Just asking

The unicorn they found when they were with Hagrid wasn't the first one attacked, Hagrid told them that something had been killing unicorns, no mention of how many though.

Re: Just asking

The answer is Magic. You can apply reality to the Magical World. You're thinking way too much and taking that way too seriously. You might as well ask how vampire can drain a human of all of its blood.

My view in the magical context would be that he has to replace all of the blood within his own body possibly all the fluid within his own body with Unicorn Blood in order to keep it going. So it's not just what he can hold in his stomach and intestines but the entire body itself so all of the all of your blood all of your other viscous fluids that are in your body and in your cells have to be replaced by the Unicorn Blood.

I'm under the impression he was interrupted... maybe he was drinking first, & then getting the rest?

Re: [CaerAzkaban] OT: anyone with math or science skills want to be a mentor?

Sounds great, and it's even in my neck of the woods, but I am already a part-time lecturer at UTSA (in addition to my day job), so my free time tends to be measured in negative numbers...

And you are correct...lots of 1st-in-family around these parts. UTSA, St. Mary's, TAMUSA, Texas State...all actively recruit 1st timers...
