Welcome!
Hiya!
Welcome to the group. You'll find our completed stories (Dumbledore's Army and Spiritus Crystalus) here and, if Fanfic.net decides to boot us off the system, our work in progress (Sunset over Britain) as well! You can post your questions or comments here and we'll do our best to get back to you. We should be able to answer your questions in more detail this way, as we won't have to worry about keeping the A/N's small. Feel free to use the message boards to post recommendations for other good fics/authors out there. Thanks for joining us, and we hope you enjoy the group. ~Bob and Alyx~ |
Avid Reader
Jennifer
I've joined your group to guard against the possibility of FF.net
pulling your stories. I'm one of those horrible people who reads often but reviews rarely. I have greatly enjoyed your stories, and I love the way you are able to make the characters your own while still being recognizable as JKR's own. I am eagerly awaiting new installments of Sunset, but I will probably go back to lurking now. Just know you have at least one more reader who, while not vocal, has her days brightened a little when you update. Bookgirl37 |
Spiritus Crystalus uploaded.
Just a quick note to say that SC has been uploaded.
What people can do with these files. You may; 1) download and read them. 2) download and even print them out for reading while taking a bath. You may not; 1) Repost these files on another website and claim you wrote them. 2) Take that print out you made and sell it. 3) Call me dirty names... well not really, but if you're going to talk dirty to me you have to deal with Alyx and she bites. As you can tell, this is a brand spanking new group. Tomorrow I will upload Sunset to the group. In the meantime we intend to use this group were we can post our files AND allow adults to converse about the Harry Potter universe. Found a good story? Put a link to it in the links section or tell people about it here. |
HELP WANTED!
We're looking for two people that might be willing to help us. The
first person should be British. We have had the need to look up certain British things. Sometimes we find them, sometimes we don't. It would be a help if we had someone from the UK we could ask questions to. The other position we need is someone to act as a part time Moderator for the message board. If you're interested in helping in either position, drop an email to alyxnw@... or reply to the thread. Bob |
Boot off
What happened? I'm just finished with the last chapter of Sunset and I
rushed to join the group just in case they boot you. I find nothing wrong with the story, aside from the fact that is H/Hr, which since HBP release is making me want to find more and more stories from this ship. Anyway, the story is very good and it made stay on the computer for two night to read all the chapters. Try to keep going with it, but if they boot you. There's plenty of sites to post in. You just made me another fun of your writting. bye. skiviry |
Re: Boot/What Happened
Just a quick note for those who may not have read the A/N on the
subject. It seems that a reviewer is under the impression that our story will be booted from Fanfic.net due to the length of our Author's Notes and because they are too "chatty". We don't really think that will happen but, on the off chance that Sunset over Britain is removed, we can pick up right away, here on the group, without making everyone wait. The group is also a good place to contact us with question or to chat with us about the story. Oh, and if you have any favorite authors or stories, recommend them to the group, would ya? Pooling our knowledge, we can direct people to some great stories that may not have been read otherwise! Thanks everyone, ~Alyx~ P.S. I'm editing chapter 10 now. I'm hoping to have it finished by tomorrow! |
Re: HELP WANTED!
Kristina,
We are interested, but right now the traffic through this new group is so low its not yet an issue. I'll keep you in mind if the board starts being a problem. :) Bob --- In snorkack@..., christina tomlin <nina_79934@y...> wrote: Hello, for a moderator I think I might be able to help. I am a moderator of two other groups and do take it serious. If I can be of help, please feel free to email or IM me whenever.

Re: HELP WANTED!
Bob,
?
No worries, thanks for keeping me in mind. This looks like a promising group. Hope you both have a great week end.

Thanks and Welcome Greg.

It's our hope that others will start posting links to their favorite stories and start a little chatter on the boards. Our primary purpose of this group however is to offer an alternate place for our files. :) --- In snorkack@..., "Greg" <gmj88888@y...> wrote:

"Sunset over Britian" Chpt9 Feedback
yorath_thewolf
well as I'm not fond enough of ff.net to join, figured I'd join yall's
group so I could leave feedback and well to see if yall posted here first ;^). well you promiced that things would get a lot darker before they got better and you haven't lied. it's interesting to see Moldyshorts intelligent, or at least the lacky's & minions haveing something resembleing a clue. and ooooh, bad form on Harry. it's been a day since I read(yes I know I'm slow joining up, blame my sloth :^P) but Harry really shoulda kept that list of demands of Albus's and handed it over to the MLE for the growing evidence pile. though the way things are heating up, it no look like Harry & the Outcasts are gonna be around long enough for those charges to be filed and Albus to be delt with thru the Ministry. anyway, gotta say that I'm rather enjoying this sofar and I'm eagerly awaiting more. |
Re: "Sunset over Britian" Chpt9 Feedback
You know, its funny when I see reviews like this. And mind you, I'm
not making fun of your review, Alyx and I truly appreciate hearing from you. The thing we have continually asked people to do is understand, there is a method to our madness. Should Harry have kept that list? Maybe, or maybe not. It's very hard for us to respond to reviews like this without revealing twists and turns before we are ready to reveal them in chapters to come. As much as I'd like to, I'll stick to the old adage of telling you to keep reading. :) The fic isn't nearly dark enough yet. It's going to get pitch black. But there are glimpses of light to be seen here and there. We didn't call this Sunset over Britain because we like pretty sunsets. Bob ps. Thanks for your review, and welcome to our little madness :) --- In snorkack@..., "yorath_thewolf" <Yorath_theWolf@h...> wrote: well as I'm not fond enough of ff.net to join, figured I'd join yall's |
