well this was a fun chpt. gotta love the way that Gin has influenced
Luna... ya really do... well as long as you aren't on the recieveing
end of any of that influence anyway. and considering what Snivarious
and the Old Fool did to Harry there at the end, really wished that the
payback had been more through... or at least violent, ya know just to
satisfy my baser instincts. still as it appears that the Outcasts will
be leaveing Briton around Boxing Day(one assumes that's why there's the
big rush to get everyone at one place at the same time on that day)
perhaps it's for the best. and mentioning the Outcasts leaveing plans,
I eagerly await to see just what Harry has planed. eagerly awaiting
more.

I agree.? I was really into it until about half way through, then it just fizzled.? I stopped looking for updates, and only went back to read it every month or so.

I was disapointed with runespoor shield. The story started out great
and somehow wandered into left field at the end without resolving
anything. It left me wondering what the heck I had just read. :(

Hmm, after at least two whole seconds of careful and extended
consideration I have come to one inescapable conclusion. You are at
least as diabolical as Abraxan. But then again you are correct in that
fanfic readers must, by the very nature of their obsession, be at
least slightly masochistic. How else could we manage to survive day to
day or week to week waiting for the next update from out favourite
authors. Some of us, of course, are slightly more so than others of
course and get off on...ooops, that may go into the realm of TMI.
Sorry, lost my head again. (And get your mind out of the gutter, not
that head) So where was I...Oh yes. I was begging and pleading for the
next chapter so I can once again fulfill my dream of reading so late
into the night that I not only don't make it to work on time, but I
also anger my wife, wind up divorced, and live on the streets with
only my laptop and a wireless connection for companionship. Hmmm, now
that doesn't sound toooooo bad....

Many fics were finished in haste for the arrival of HBP and doing this
made some excellent fics worthless (the ending, atleast).

Chapter 11 Review

An Wen Tan

Hi, I reviewed on FF.net as well, but if I review here I'll probably get various other people shooting me down...if you think it's strange that I'm on a different email at FFN, it's because I prefer a bit of order...

?

So Harry's leg isn't going to get better at all? Rats, that's a bummer...

Boxing day at 10? I DO hope Dumbledore's hacked off for that one if nothing else, although it seems to get in the way, somewhat, of Draco's idea of taking Snape's poor teaching/grading to the BOG. Oh, and does Harry have a portkey of his own like he gave to others? Along those lines, is the snowflake Hermione's portkey?

Harry's giving Dumbledore too many chances, in my opinion, he said last chapter that next time he was pushing back and that Dimple wouldn't like it right? So how exactly is a sticking charm so bad? Sure it demonstrates power, but doesn't actually do much else right? Although perhaps he should just turn Snape to much, literally, in front of Dumbly... Oh, and taking it a bit further, how about dealing with the other Gryfs? Mayb maim a few...

Draco/Luna? Well there's a weird pairing, but if it works out then cool! They are cute together, I think, at least.

The Chamber of Secrets from the Head Girl's room? Now there's a cool twist! I had the idea of Harry cleaning out the Chamber and using it for himself? How about adding the Fidelius to it as well in this story? I mean, if/when Harry&co come back to Britain, the Chamber seems like a good place to start, even if just a foothold.

So far Harry seems to have everyone he actually needs, in terms of humans both magic and muggle. What about the goblins? I get the feeling that they wouldn't take too kindly to it if they were attacked by Voldy while Harry knew about it but didn't do anything about it? Oh, and what do the Weasley boys mean when they said "spring"? And is Charlie going along, or even in the know?

Why don't you add your URL to the Links section of the group? Anyone
who suggests stories should also post the links in the section as well

Hi and stuff, and a review

ausfinbar

Greetings and Salivations

I'm just this deranged aussie who does so like his HP fanfic.
I also just found this group, despite having read DA from the third
chapter when it was posted and obsessively ever since. (Much kudos not
only for your writing style, engrossing plots and thematic elements,
but also for the speed with which you write, which is far faster than
my paltry efforts)
I have really been enjoying this story so far and finally thought to
ask a few questions:
The new Prophecy: THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE
BULL… AND THE CHOSEN CHILD MUST FLEE THE ISLE OF MYRDDIN'S BIRTH…
DARKNESS WILL ENGULF THE LAND AND THE REALM OF UTHER'S SON WILL
BURN…AS LIGHT IS SWALLOWED BY DARK THE DEFENDER MUST WATCH FROM A FAR…
THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE BULL…"

I was breaking it down, As I understand it, in May, Hogwarts will
fall, which is the cue for Harry and Co to flee England (I do note
that Scotland wasnt part of Uther's son's realm, so no burnination up
there, neither in Ireland, just Lower and central england and wales).
Doesnt Harry own lands on the Isle of Wight? or Ireland? Northern
Scotland? I'd be amazed if the Potters or Blacks didnt own any in
those areas. Or will he be going to another part of the world? I'm all
in favour of him heading to Australia till May from Christmas, then
heading back to deal with Voldi.

Other points:
Is it just me or is Bellatrix's arm blown off in diagon alley in far
too many fics? This makes about 8 different stories I have read where
that happens *grins*

Draco/Luna: That has to be the strangest paring I have seen short of
the Draco/Squid one I once saw..... and just as wrong.

Damm your stories are addictive. I find myself hanging out for my next
fix before you publish it.

Do the Potter and Black families have seats on the Wizamgamot? If so,
how will Harry be treating these? Will he be voting or just proxy his
seats off to someone he trusts like Amelia?

Monkeys: enough said

Narcissa Malfoy: Kind hearted mother who has been cruelly abused, or
does she also buy into the whole pure-blood superiority like her
sister Bellatrix?

Tonks: Will she and Andromeda be added back onto the Black family
tapestry with Bellatrix removed?

Pants!

How are the other Slytherins reacting to this new 'supposedly dark'
Harry? Obviously they will do nothing publically, but now he has been
moved from 'Pawn of the Headmaster', someone that no Slytherin would
ever trust, to unknown agents/quantity. For that matter, what about
the ravenclaws and puffs? Or are they sheep like the Gryffs?

Damm, thats a lot of questions, but I'm new to the group and it's
things that have bugged me *grins*

Thansk for reading and Thankyou for writing such wonderful work.

Cheers

Finbar

Yes, you have our attention. Shall I put on my tux to recieve our

Actually we have no particular preference where the reviews go. If
you're more comfortable with using ff.net, then do so. If you prefer
here, be our guest.

Goody, really I just
wanted to say that the way you put that chapter together was quite
well done. I am greatly enjoying Harry and his attempts to be patient
with Dumbdore and Snarvellus, and the way they just keep trying, and
he just keeps pushing them out of his way. The Ball was a hoot. Ron,
Dean, and Seamus just don't get it, maybe one day... Loved the scene
in the rose garden as Draco finally gets a clue. Gotta love Luna and
her sweet dottiness. Then again, she is such a lady in the way she
deals with attackers. I guess ya gotta wonder who trained those two
trolls to look like students. They couldn't possibly be human and be
that clueless could they? Ah well, at least the two lovers got back to
the dance. Looking forward to Xmas at Grimmauld Place and to the
revelation of Harry's big plan, that should be very interesting.
Thanks loads for sharing such fine work with your adoring fans.

I know everyone is dying to see what Harry has up his sleeves. Well it
ain't a rabbit. :)

I suppose I could tell everyone just what is going to happen in a
special scene at grimmauld place.... or I could reveal the reasons WHY
the plan must happen, then eventually, unfold the plan in all its
majesty as it happens.

Personally the second option sounds better if you ask me Vern. It's my
own way of tormenting you readers. And you guys love it. :P

Chapter 11 Review

CRS

Yay! Another chapter!

I'm going to put my review here, because I like it
better. :)

I liked the snowflake necklace, and I would love to
hear more about it, when it starts picking on
Hrmione's moods. Imagine Harry seeing it darken and
running away.....

What's up with Ron? I know he's protective of Ginny,
but what's in it for Dean and Seamus? And what
happened to them? "Firing at the same areas..." that
made me wince. Could we have a treat "infirmary
scene"? With details on their injuries?...

Draco/Luna. I love it! Will Luna ever drop her mask
completely in front of her friends? "They don't drop
it in piles..."

More T-Shirt fun! Please? Pretty please? Pretty please
with sugar on top? Pretty please with sugar on top and
honey?.....

Okay, I've said this before, but I HATE WAITING!!! And
most of all, I hate not knowing.

You guys don't leave cliffies, but cause much more
anticipation with every chapter. What's Harry's grand
scheme? Can we have a few hints?

When will he leave to Myrrdin's place? I guess that's
where he is going, right?

"Harry Potter, the Hero with the Limp." I figured
you'd do something like this. After that Matura, magic
can't get him, but physically....

Ermmm... that's it. I'm off to read the latest chapter
of Abraxan's story now.

Story recs: Check the Yahoo group
.
The story is on FF, I think. The trilogy is awesome!
Not complete yet, though...

Check this group too:

The story is on FF, but the group is a chapter ahead.

Re: Chapter 10

It's not really Evil! Dumbledore though is it, it's more manipulitve
Dumbledore who refuses to see that all his careful planning is not
going to go to plan, real people came along and ruined it for him and
oh no they took the glory with them.

I love that he and Snivellus are stuck to the ceiling inside the
doors, I hope the house elves can do nothing for them except cast a
cushioning charm for when they fall, which unfortunately wears off
just as they fall, and Madam Pomfrey is away for Christmas.

Another great chapter. Usually Evil!Dumbedore bores me. This is a
fun story though.

It's nice to see Harry finally throwing down on the old man.

ps Your disclaimers are funny too. Poor Ron. Not. :)
