Really? All of my machines have them. I suppose one has to know where to shop.

I just want someone to come up with Dilbert's PHB remote and lobotomizer. If we burnout the bosses, we'll have a return to Geek Rule. (hur hur hur!) CHAOS! ANARCHY! *ahem* sorry, just the broken

Part of it is that the salesmen know how to speak the manager's language and tell them what they want to hear, and they can lie as long as they don't put any guarantees in writing. The managers

I just looked at the Putty installed on my Win10 computer and I didn't see "serial" as an option anywhere. On the other hand, the Win10 computer doesn't have any serial ports either. I'll check the

It's usually only 5 years for the language or framework that is less than 3 years old. That said, I just saw a job ad looking for "3-5 years experience with Windows 11".

Aka, the pointy-haired boss from the Dilbert comics. A not quite as lobotomized one is the boss from the BOFH series.

Cloud is only useful in a specific scenario; when you would otherwise have a lot of unused server time if you had your own servers. If you skip the step of calculating the trade off, you¡¯re stupid.

Oh, I know you actually do end up paying for it. But like you said, magic cloud means it must be cheaper there. Even if it isn't.

You're wrong about that. PuTTY does support serial connections. I just have to select it. I prefer TerraTerm for that, though, and keep PuTTY for ssh or telnet. Cisco devices do have a serial

Strange. I use PuTTY on serial ports all the time. Last option on the connection line is "Serial", then select the relevant/equipped serial port and normal serial parameters 9600/8/1/N etc.

I'm going to slightly contradict you on the Putty. The version of Putty I have does support serial. Now whether it plays nice with USB->Serial I'm less sure since that is a driver thing and it has
