Re: Crucio

I don't buy it either, but I did read a story where they explained it by
using the spell to basically jump start nerves after a serious injury. A
person can't feel anymore and after the initial injury is fixed they used it
to basically restart the nervous system.

Just a thought

The Cruciatus spell can be used for good. Some have suggested it was
originally a medical spell to wake patients up from comas.

Also, wouldn't casting it repeatedly on someone build up a resistance
to pain?
Sorry, I just don't buy it. There are nerve pressure points which
medical personal may use to see if a person is truly unconscious or
not, but cruciatus? Nope. That spell is too generalized and causes too
much pain.

I look at it this way. There are some spells which were deliberately
designed to hurt people, and others which have been corrupted over the
centuries into that catagory. Most of the spells aren't dark. Its the
intent of the caster to make them so. Should someone actually come up
with a good reason as to why cruciatus can be used for good I'm
willing to listen. But I don't believe there is a good reason for it.
