Dumbledore's Army and it's sequel Spiritus Crystalus do have a
manipulative dumbledore and its a Harry/Ginny ship. However that
dumbledore comes around eventually.
Its hard to provide a quick summary for the two books totaling over
400K words. Read then, don't read them. It's your choice. :)

I'd personally advise reading them, as they are well worth the time.
Unless you are a rabid H?/Hr shipper, you will definitely enjoy the
