The area is rich in prehistoric and historic sites. The successful applicant must be willing to work through dense underbrush in the variable climatic conditions that the seasons bring to this area. The project also includes the cleaning and cataloging of artifacts in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory. The successful applicant must be willing to work through dense underbrush in the variable climatic conditions that the seasons bring to Southern Maryland. The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of field work and laboratory processing, including the cleaning and cataloging of artifacts in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory. The successful applicant should have a general knowledge of prehistoric and historic material culture. The ability to work effectively as a team member is essential.
