ADOPTED - MONTY PYTHON - BLUE F2 MALE - LOUISVILLE, GA
ADOPTED - MONTY PYTHON - BLUE F2 MALE - LOUISVILLE, GA
MONTY IS SETTLING INTO HIS NEW HOME IN A LEGAL LOCATION, THANKS FOR THE OFFERS! ?
Monty Python is a 6 year old blue spotted F2 neutered male, from Savannah Pride cattery (Victoria Johnsonbaugh has been contacted and is not taking responsibility for him).
He is temporarily located in Louisville, GA. Due to Covid, the owner retreated to a family residence and has been unable to afford Monty's upkeep. He eats a prescription diet for urinary crystals that after an initial case of crystals have kept his condition stable. He is not happy at the increased number of people and needs a quieter stable home.
?
Be aware, Savannahs are not legal in GA hence he does need to leave that state.
?
From what we have been able to learn, Monty is a singular feline. His owner has him toilet trained pretty completely. She says that he has never used a litterbox and only uses the toilet. He is highly attuned with her and pees when she does etc. Unfortunately, when she leaves on a trip, he uses the floor...I assume as his routine is so disrupted. Our suggestion would be to offer a litterbox initially with Cat Attract litter and work from there.
?
Monty is apparently strongly attached to his human. She reports he is scared of men and hisses at her children. We feel that a home with a single female would obviously be a plus, but definitely a home without small children (under8 years of age). Monty is said to be very affectionate, cuddly and talkative with his human. One picture we have of him seems to show him wearing a harness outdoors so we can assume he is comfortable on a leash.
?
Shipping is not an option (Covid restrictions have made this even more impossible), so a home would need to be willing to drive to Louisville, GA and take Monty home.
?
His adoption fee will be $200, please email us at info@... and tell us why your home would be great for Monty!

ADOPTED - KACHINA - CHAUSIE/SAVANNAH MIX - CORNWALL, NY
ADOPTED - KACHINA - CHAUSIE/SAVANNAH MIX - CORNWALL, NY
KACHINA HAS REACHED HER NEW HOME! ?
Kachina is a sweet spayed female currently located in Cornwall, NY. She was sold to the owners as an F6 Savannah by Junglespots cattery, who are not taking Kachina back. We did however discover that she is more complicated in heritage, her mother is an F2 Chausie (Jungle cat hybrid) and her father an F4 Savannah. Hence Kachina would more accurately be called an F3 Chausie/Savannah mix.
?
Due to this complicating factor, Kachina needs to live outside NY state. Kachina also needs a home by the 23rd July as her owners are moving to yet another illegal location. They will be driving NY to GA to TX though, so have offered to deliver Kachina anywhere along that route.
?
Kachina is said to be very friendly and affectionate, she is reported to be good with other cats (with proper introduction), dogs and even young children/babies! She is however reported to mark/spray when upset or reportedly after being "punished". She will pee on clothes left on the floor too. The owner reports that she prefers dogs over cats, and it seems that she exhibits jealousy of other cats having the attention she wants so might prefer being an only cat.
?
I will put additional pictures in the comments, if you would like to offer Kachina a home, please email info@... and let us know why your home would be a great fit for her. Her adoption fee will be $200.

COURTESY POST - MAMA/DAUGHTER PAIR - NY STATE
COURTESY POST - MAMA/DAUGHTER PAIR - NY STATE
?
This is a courtesy post to help this cat find a home, it is not in Savannah Rescue's care. Please email timncat@... to learn more.
?
--------------------------------
For those of you who get the reference, we have a bit of an Eliza Dolittle situation here (google it)! Last winter this cat appeared at our backyard feeding station. Her distinctive ears and highly sentient demeanor set her apart from all the other cats that frequent our property. (I said to my husband, WHAT on earth is that?!)
?
With the arrival of the Covid Spring, I noticed the little saddlebags emerging on her sides... It has been our habit to not only feed, but TNR the denizens of our yard, so I called our local program, even our private vet, but due to Covid, no one could offer her a late term spay.
?
Rather than have kittens born onto the streets, we trapped her and crated her in our guest room. While she had been living out in the elements, her behavior manifested as utterly feral, but one could easily tell that her relationship to her environment was very different, far more aware, far more deliberate.
?
When trapped, she also seemed to assess her crate with a decisive eye and, unlike the typical DSH feral, never panicked or hid in fear. She was rather regal, quite self possessed, impeccably civilized and tidy. Within a very few days (though I myself fell victim to lightning claws a few times) she adopted my husband!
?
We then dispensed with the crate because she would allow him to pick her up at will, indeed, even began to listen to verbal suggestions and gestures he would make. Point to the window ledge, up she goes. Pat the bed, she is right there for an ear rub. "Stay", and she will not push towards the door as you exit. Just look. Look at her utterly direct gaze, her pictures speak for themselves! She is full of presence.
...I suspect that she might even be interested in a leash and harness...
?
When the day came for her to have her kittens, (it was MOTHER'S DAY btw!), she insisted, very vocally, that Tim be her Doula, be within paw's reach, and "talk her through it"!
?
As her SEVEN (yes, 7!!!) kittens were posted on our fb page, one of our friends mentioned her resemblance to a Savannah Cat. Upon researching the temperament of the breed, we are personally convinced that she is one, at least in part. Her sensibilities are so very different from any cat we've ever met.
?
The folks at Savannah Rescue could not conclude her lineage from pics with certitude, but have invited us to post her here, pointing out that those telltale ears are just not found in the typical DSH population!
?
We are personally so very impressed with her, it is breaking our hearts that we cannot keep her. We have 3 other felines, which she would never accept. She has made it clear that she will make fierce, quick work of any other animals attempting to occupy her domicile. That is why we are posting her with one of her kittens. She is profoundly affectionate, has such a deep need for connection, and is so very bright that the stimulation of another companion could only be beneficial. But I am certain that the only company she would accept would be that of her own offspring. This little daughter looks the most like her, is quite trained and tidy, and appears to be growing some substantial ears of her own...
Our brilliant little queen would require an attentive and experienced owner.
?
In any case, we are located in NY, on Long Island, close to the Queens border. We would ask that a $150 donation be made to the Savannah Cat Rescue organization as an adoption fee for mother and daughter together, $100 each if separate. We would not ship an animal, but are willing to travel to Massachusetts and Delaware as well as NJ, PA and CT.
Additionally, she and kitten both, have an appt at a local TNR on July 30th; the kitten will then be 10 weeks old, they will not leave until spayed.

Beautiful F2 male savannah needs foster home in Toronto Ontario area ( Canada)
CINDERS IS IN A FOSTER HOME, GETTING SOME NECESSARY VET CARE. WE DON'T KNOW WHEN HE MIGHT BE AVAILABLE.
Young F2 male Savannah near Toronto/Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Foster home only with NO children or other pets! Cinder is a beautiful and very young 1.5 year old F2 boy who needs a quiet, calm and mature home that is experienced with early generation Savannahs and/or fearful and abused kitties who are easily over-stimulated by touch. Cinder has a history of nipping/biting without provocation. We don't know what circumstances he might have experienced in his short past to create?his fears and reactive behavior. His previous home had several children. He loves laser pointers, but has a fear of wand toys that is likely the result of unsupervised children playing roughly, chasing, hitting or teasing him. The right foster home for Cinder will be one who is not intimidated by a cat who may hiss or growl, is fearful in new surroundings and mistrusts people due to past abuse. He must have space, time and patience to acclimate to a new home and learn to trust again. A home without children or other pets is required...no exceptions! Cinder needs to be evaluated by the foster so good communication and descriptive conversations will help us all work as a team to see what kind of home this cat needs. As always foster homes will have first refusal on any cat. Because of this an application to foster is filled out and approved by our team just like any savannah being offered for adoption. Cinder is neutered with no known health or litter box issues. One of his legs turns slightly inward due to a congenital abnormality; this causes no issue with mobility. Cinder is located about 64 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of Toronto, Canada. He cannot be shipped, but transport within 80 kilometers (50 miles) may be possible. Canadian applicants only! If you feel you can give Cinder the quiet and patient foster home he deserves, and have experience with fearful and abused kitties who need time to come around at their own pace, please send an email with lots of detail to Teresa at Savannah Cat Rescue at: info@... and put Cinders name in the subject line. Thank you |

PLACED - F5 FEMALE SAVANNAH & KITTEN DAUGHTERS SAGE AND SABLE - CANYON LAKE, CA
PLACED?- F5 FEMALE SAVANNAH & KITTEN DAUGHTERS SAGE AND SABLE - CANYON LAKE, CA
August of last year, we posted for help with Savannah, a pregnant F5 girl (yes her name really was Savannah). Savannah had three female kittens the very day after she was transported to her foster home. You would have seen the sad post where we lost Soderia due to FCK in September.
?
With a few random unexplained fevers and vomiting episodes, finally as we were ready to spay them all ready for adoption the vet finally suggested testing for Panleukopenia (feline distemper). Savannah tested positive, which was amazing to us all. The veterinarians think it had to be a very mild strain as not only did Savannah pull through but the two kittens also (and it explained Soderia's issues). They now test negative for the virus and have recovered to be able to be spayed and be available for adoption.
?
Savannah is a 3.5 year old F5 Savannah female, Sage and Sable are her F6 daughters (unknown father). Her surrendering owner felt unable to deal with kittens, he'd apparently bought a kitten for his daughter who lived with her mother who refused the "gift" and he kept the kitten but not bothered to spay (nor apparently vaccinate). Sage and Sable are now 5 months old and all are recently spayed. They are all now vaccinated and microchipped. The foster home wrote some words about their individual personalities:
?
"Savannah-Savannah is a very sweet, very talkative girl. She would love to have a cat daddy or a teenage son in her furrever home. She is quite the flirt and quickly bonds to them. Savannah is a very active girl who likes to be acknowledged as soon as you see her. She does the cutest things when you get home or even just walk into a room. She enjoys cuddles and playtime. She’d be happiest as an only cat, getting ALL the love and attention. Savannah knows her leash and gets excited for you to get it on so she can take you on a stroll.
?
Sage- Sage is a little character, she’ll do some of the silliest things. She is very affectionate, curious , sometimes a bit timid with new things and a good talker like her mom. Sage is a very active girl who likes to be acknowledged as soon as you see her. Sage enjoys high places and running on a cat wheel. She loves attention. Sage is adorable in every way. We think she’d be good with a younger cat to play with.
?
Sable- Sable is very sweet and such a cutie. She loves attention and structured playtime. Sable learns routines quickly and enjoys the challenge of a feather on a stick & many laps on the cat wheel. She is a talker, but not too much or loud, it’s the cutest talk. We think she’d be good with a younger cat to play with."
Additionally, to distinguish the kittens, Sable has a tail kink which is very cute, and Sage is slightly more golden. Pictures are below ?
Adoption fees for each would be $200 each. If someone were to adopt two, then we likely would consider a slight discount on the second, but please remember that our rescue has expended thousands on their vet care to get them healthy and adoptable.
?
They are currently located in Canyon Lake, CA and we are not willing to ship them at this time. You would need to be able to travel to fetch your cat/kitten. To adopt Savannah, Sage &/or Sable please email info@... with your location, a description of your household and why your home would be the best choice for them. After all they have been through, they deserve the best of homes!

Bullet - Sun City, FL, 8 year old Male
Bullet is a beautiful 8 year old (F6) neutered male looking for his forever home. Bullet was surrendered to us with an extreme case of PICA (eat anything cloth). He has since been fully vetted and has lived with a foster with only one minor incident. We feel his PICA is stress related when he is left alone for long periods of time. He is extremely people oriented and loves to be around the action! He runs to greet our foster whenever he leave the?house. Bullet has done so well in his foster home, we are trying to duplicate the living arrangement. The ideal home for Bullet would be someone that works from home, part-time or is retired. Bullet craves attention and being alone for long periods of time stress him out. He is ok with dogs and children 8 and over. Local pick-up only. Adoption fee is $200.00 Email info@... and explain why your home is a good fit for Bullet! Emails with 'i want him' and nothing else will not receive a response. ![]()

ADOPTED!!! - WANDA - F3 FEMALE - COVINGTON, WA
Wanda is a 2 year old F3 spayed female Savannah from Select Exotics (they are aware and are not taking her back).
?
Wanda has been in our foster care for a little while while we made sure we contacted the breeder. This is how the foster describes Wanda:
?
Wanda is a sweet loving 2 y.o. F3. She is a kind, shy, quiet girl who would do best as any only pet or with another pet who wouldn't bother her. She enjoys sitting next to you getting her head and neck pet and scratched. She can be a little unsure about having her body pet. She enjoys both canned and dry food, has pristine litterbox habits, is immaculate in her grooming habits and is an all around great girl. She doesn't seem to be interested in many interactive toys but enjoys her tall scratching post and cat nip banana. If you are looking for a calm laid back, young girl, don't pass her up!! Local homes only, no shipping.
?
If you are interested in Wanda, and think your home would be perfect for her, please email us at info@... and tell us your location and give a description of your household to start this process. Her adoption fee will be $200.

F2 NEUTERED MALE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SOUTH CAROLINA
? Due to some truly unfortunate circumstances, Tiger is available for adoption, again. Tiger is a 10-year-old male Savannah Cat that has had quite a rough life. His first owner declawed him on all 4 paws. When he started inappropriately peeing outside of his box due to this procedure he was evicted and ended up in a vet’s office scheduled for euthanasia. Savannah Cat Rescue was contacted and placed him in a home where he lived for about 6 years. He was re-surrendered to us last year due to his adoptive family’s change in life circumstances. He then spent the next 15 months in a wonderful foster home while we attempted to place him in a perfect forever home. We thought we had found this home for him but despite full disclosure of his issues and the home saying that they were prepared and ready to make the necessary accommodations for Tiger to live a happy and full life, Tiger has been evicted again. Tiger is a super sweet boy that just wants love and attention. He has been 4-paw declawed and has the common inappropriate urination issue related to this procedure. He needs a home that is experienced with inappropriate urination due to being declawed, has NO soft fabrics or carpeting available to him and can limit his access to areas where they are unavoidable, such as bedrooms and bathrooms.. He has a tendency to display separation anxiety (who wouldn’t at this point) and may need a ‘safe space’ {a small room that is set up for him with all his necessities and comforts} that he can go in when he will be left alone. He needs a quiet, peaceful home where he can spend his senior years loving his humans and watching the critters outside. He would consider a screened porch or enclosure for this activity a plus. His current foster home is a busy place with small children and it is really exacerbating his anxiety issues. For this reason, we are asking that there be no young children in the home. He gets along very well with other cats and would probably do fine with a calm cat-friendly dog. ? If you and your home have what Tiger needs and you are within reasonable driving distance to Charleston ?South Carolina please send us an email to info@... with a description of your home, family, and experience with this issue.? AVAILABLE - F3 MALE - SARASOTA FL
AKUA is a 5 year old neutered F3 male, currently located in Sarasota, FL. His owner has disclosed a health and financial emergency and he is looking for a home. Akua is from California Savannahs, who have not been contactable. Akua is said to be a quiet but affectionate cat, he prefers to give head butts and rubs to your legs rather than be picked up. He is fond of his kitty brother and sister, so with a patient and thoughtful introduction Akua likely would be find in a home with another cat or two. Akua is a larger F3, last vet visit weighed him at 23.5lbs. Akua is reported to have occasional accidents, urinating on the owner's bed around once a month. He is reported to be friendly to visitors but has not been around children. He has not met a dog. Akua's veterinary records show an issue a few years back with limping with some speculation by the vet of a hip issue. The owner reports that he does not limp now. He is up to date on vaccinations and comes with a copy of his vet records. Akua currently eats a raw ground diet with supplements. There is some mention in the vet records of a possible food allergy, so the adopter should be willing to continue the diet he is currently doing well on. Please email us at info@... and describe your home and why it would be a great option for Akua. An adoption of fee of $200, at this time we will not consider shipping. He would be too large to fit in a carrier for in cabin flying. |

BONDED PAIR AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN FLORIDA
BONDED PAIR AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN FLORIDA ? Flynn and Cleo are a bonded pair of Savannah Cats available for adoption. They are both up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. They are currently located on the Treasure Coast in Florida. They cannot be shipped but their foster is willing to drive throughout the state to meet up with the right home for them. Their adoption fee is $300 for the pair. Cleo is an 8 year old, F5, spayed female. She is sweet loving and talkative. She is easily handled and enjoys being scratched behind the ears. She loves to play with wand toys, catnip mice and in cat tunnels. She finds the sound of a cat food can being opened very exciting and will yell at you until she is served her plate. This has earned her the nickname “Cleocatra” in her foster home.? She has perfect litter box habits although she does kick litter out of even the high sided Sterilite/Rubbermaid boxes and will need a good sized mat under the box to keep litter from being spread all over. Flynn is a 4 year old F3 neutered male. Flynn was bred by AAA Savannahs (Paul Beeson) due to the conditions he was born into he was not properly socialized as a young kitten. Foster has been working with him for months now and he has improved with people and meeting new people but remains fearful and even when interacting with you, will remain out of arms reach. If he feels you are too close, he panics and runs. In his panic, he may scratch and if cornered becomes defensive and will scratch. He is not an aggressive cat at all. He won’t attack unprovoked, he just panics when afraid. He loves to play with wand toys. He will sit and listen attentively to you talk to him for long periods of time as long as you don’t get too close. He chases catnip mice when you throw them and has the cutest Early Generation chirpy meow. The only individual he trusts completely is Cleo, which is why they must be placed together. He also has perfect litter box habits. He will need a home that has experience with poorly socialized cats, is familiar with working with them and is prepared to accept him even if he never comes around to being a cuddler. Due to Flynn’s anxiety issues we are only considering homes with older, cat savvy children 12+. They do well with other laidback cats but are not at all impressed by the overactive, super playful ‘in your face’ type of cats. We don’t know if they have ever been exposed to dogs but do believe that cat friendly dogs with calm personalities would be readily accepted (read: completely ignored) by them. ? If you believe that your home is the right forever home for these two beautiful Savannah Cats please send us an email to info@... telling us about the home you’re offering and the family, including all other pets, that they would be joining.? Tiger is still available and in need of a great forever home! Tiger?is a 9 year old neutered, F2 male that was returned to Savannah Cat Rescue from the home that adopted him from us 6 years ago. He is said to be an incredibly sweet and timid boy that enjoys being with his people.?Tiger?is being surrendered for a behavioral marking issue (urine marking). He?was surrendered?the 1st?time 6 years ago for the same issue. He has been medically cleared both times.?Tiger?has been with an experienced foster for a few months now so that we could pinpoint his triggers and find him the perfect home for him. Tiger?needs a home that has no soft fabrics or carpeting available to him. He can’t seem to help himself around these things and will mark them with urine if given the opportunity. He will do best in a home that can easily restrict his access to things like blankets, beds, throw rugs and pillows. As you will notice, in addition to lots of love and attention he also needs a home that has the time to spend keeping him actively exercising so that he can shed a few of the middle age pounds he’s currently carrying around.?Tiger?will likely be okay in a home that has a small number of other docile animals (after a proper adjustment period and slow introductions, of course) he could also be an only pet in a household where someone is home with him most of the time. AVAILABLE - BONDED F5 PAIR - TULSA, OK
AVAILABLE - BONDED F5 PAIR - TULSA, OK Kenji & Cairo are 8 & 9 year old F5 brothers (different litters) from defunct cattery Quail Hollow Savannahs. Their owner now works out of town 8 months of the year and needs to urgently rehome them, despite loving them dearly. Kenji is said to be more reserved and takes time to warm to strangers, he likes to watch birds from the window and pretend to hunt them. Cairo is more outgoing and interactive to his owner, but is said to self-soothe by sucking his tail tip when stressed. This is harmless, even if soggy! These boys have lived together all their lives hence we do not wish to separate them. The owner feels that they would do best in a only cat household, but that they would accept properly introduced dogs, and they have visited with her 2 year old niece without issue. We think that having had a quiet home for some years, it would be best for them to have another relatively quiet home. If interested in offering Kenji & Cairo a home, please email us at info@... to tell us about your home and why it would be a good fit. We do not have the ability to offer shipping for these cats. Their adoption fee will be $300. |
AVAILABLE - 10YEAR OLD F4 FEMALE - CANYON LAKE, CA
BROWNIE SWIRL is an engaging 10 year old marble F4 Savannah female looking for a home that is not too active, but with plenty of time to pay her the attention she craves. Brownie spent the first 10 years of her life with the same owner, and from the owner's report they were very close. They went for walks together (yes, she's leash trained), they spent all her free time together. They moved a lot and recently it's become harder and harder to find a home that takes pets and the owner felt she was working too long hours to give Brownie the attention she needs. We've had Brownie in foster care for some weeks now, she was very withdrawn for some time as the change was a shock to her. She's blossomed into a very affectionate interactive cat. We've had her vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, health check bloodwork, and she had some dental work done as that was causing her some mouth pain. This has resulted in a far more relaxed happy cat. Her foster mom and dad have come to love her, but with test introductions to their large kitty household it has become clear that Brownie would prefer only one or two relaxed kitty companions if she cannot be an adored only cat. She does best with cats that don't bother her. Brownie has been affectionate with both foster mom and dad, and their older daughter. Brownie has a bad habit of mouthing hands that are petting her, there is a youtube clip below demonstrating this. It may be a little overstimulation and although she has never bit hard and the foster describes it as a "nibble" we feel that this means Brownie is not suitable for younger children. She wouldn't appreciate the activity and noise level of young children in any case! Brownie has exhibited some needs in her care, she requires two litterboxes of two different litters and then she is meticulous with her litterbox use. One box and litter type is for peeing and the other for pooping. Brownie strongly prefers kibble...the foster has managed to transition her to a better quality kibble and has found some canned food that she will eat. A new owner might want to continue to work on this. Brownie is a super-sweet, playful engaging cat, if you think that your home would suit her needs, please email us at info@... and tell us why your home is right for her. Her adoption fee is $200 and she is not available for shipping at this time. |
