I've thought about it for awhile... For years I have wondered about SSR (and everything) being able to self fund and/or generate income through investing. (Never really brought it up)?
If we invested $1k 5 years ago in the SP500 it would be worth 1600 (apx) now.? Apx 10% growth.?
If we had invested 1k in Bitcoin 5 years ago, it would be work apx 11k now...?
I'm totally ok with paying the yearly requirements,?
And... It is interesting to think about.?

Here's the accounting report for SSR money.
$686.46 Opening balance for 2025$18.11 Interest earned*? $2,287.00 Payments for April weekend, including: ? ?$65 for materials fund ? ?$1,000.00 for programming (Emily)? ? ?$1,238.80 for VRBO lodging (Meggie) $752.77 Ending balance after paying Emily and Meggie
(*While I'll pay a smidge in taxes for the interest the SSR funds accrue, it won't be much and I don't mind just donating that to the balance.)

I have already planned my soup. I have my shopping list and am bringing pre-mixed spices that include paprika (nightshade). The soup is gluten and dairy free, but includes meat and three nightshades (tomatoes, chiles, paprika), so if the two bullets Meggie sent are the list for two people, my soup would not work for either of them.?
Marsia, Matooka, is it possible that your entree or soup meets all the dietary restrictions??If your entree/soup is free of those everyone would at least have those choices.
I could also try to buy a boxed soup that meets the restrictions, to offer to those two people.

Hello SSR Sisters!
Emily has found 5-6 volunteers to come be representatives for our Constellation work. One person can only come on Saturday and the rest will be there both Saturday and Sunday. (Sleeping elsewhere.)
Since they are volunteering their time and energy, we have offered them lunch both days.
The food restrictions we are aware of are: - Dairy free, vegetarian, Pea protein, Pea sprout allergy
- Gluten free, dairy free, no soy, no night shades
Please bring larger dishes than usual for our shared meals so that there is plenty of food. Snacks to share are also welcome. It will be Emily, 5-6 volunteers, and 11 SSR women. So, a total of 17 - 18 people.
(I imagine if funds are tight for the extra food, women could ask to be reimbursed some from the materials fund.)
??????????? Saturday Lunch: - Marsia: entr¨¦e
- Matooka: entree or soup

- Paige: bread and butter for whole weekend
