you explained that after some detective work, Don found that the awning colors for the Sacramento were actually green and orange separated by white. Definitely not the colors I had been expecting based on B&W photos! I would assume that the awnings on the Bidwell were made from the same material. Unless we could say that the color rendering of the film WW used in that third photo you just posted would be able to distinguish between green and orange, in which case green on white seems like as good a choice as any.
