I replaced my fuel tank and hoses. I was on the fence about the Racor. I removed it from the boat to disassemble it for a thorough cleaning. Some of the bolts were seized, so I just replaced it with a new Racor.

If you have a manual fuel shut off valve in the line from the tank to the Racor, you can close that to prevent siphoning.
