I have a node that is up and running. Has been working fine for over a year. Until recently...I turn it on and I get no sound out to my HT. It shakes hands with wifi, shows up on the portal list as active (green), I can ping just fine with no losses, and DTMF tones are read by the node as per the Asterisk CLI....but still, I get no RF acknowledgment. I checked the SA818-menu programming and nothing changed from before when my node was working. the litlle green LED even blinks as if it's ready for transmission but when I key my HT (on the FREQ and Tone of the node) I get nothing indicating the node has locked, i.e. solid green light.

I hope I gave you every bit of data and detail I could. Oh, and I am up to date on everything running ASL3 and can get into the terminal from the web portal....literally EVERYTHING else is working as it should. I ran a report and it returned nada, as in no file.?

Any help would be much appreciated. NO, I have not reimaged the sd card and that is my next step, but I was hoping to solve this conundrum as well.?

From the Asterisk CLI issue the command susb key??

Does the red LED on the SHARI board illuminate? ?(Use susb unkey to turn it off)

That worked no problem and my HT RX the open frequency, but no joy on the RF when I PTT the same HT...

Thanks, I was not expecting such a rapid response!

Here are some suggestions:

Make sure your HT is in simplex and not repeater mode (no TX offset)

?

Make sure you have the CTCSS (PL) tone set correctly.

?

Do the following -

?

sudo asl-menu

Allstar Node Setup Menu

Update Node <your node>

Interface Tune CLI

?

Make sure item j) is set to 'no'

?

Select V)

Key the HT and see if COS shows 'KEYED'

?

Go back to Node settings and select 6) Expert configuration Menu then 1 Edit rpt.conf file

?

Scrool down using the down arrow key until you see this

?

?

Verify duplex = 1.? If not set it to 1

?

Use <ctrl>X to exit and Y to save if you changed duplex to 1

?

Use R) to restart asterisk after any changes

?
