Re: Mobile Node Power
I have had real good luck with these. I have one for each of my Pi's https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LAEX7J0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thank You, Ed Lee KI5WSU 73 wrote: --

Re: Mobile Node Power
These things are happy around 5.2 volts. Most power banks will provide that through USB A or USB C. I'd also look for a battery that has charging passthrough if you want to power the Pi in a vehicle.

Re: Echolink
That would appear to be router dependent then, I've done it both ways, and had instances where a single entry won't work.? Try it either way, use what works.

Re: Echolink
Not all ISP provided routers will allow a range to be entered. Mine forces single entries. It works fine at least but would suck if you needed to open a large range of ports.

Re: Echolink
Echolink requires one IP per node. Run your AllStar as a -L or -R using your IP directly. The ports are 5198, 5199, and 5200. If you want to use another node on your network, you will need to use one

Re: Echolink
To stop echolink o clear node rename the echolink.conf to echolink.org

Re: Echolink
No you do it the way I previously posted or it will not connect properly one echolink entry in the router: Echolink??? 5198-5200?? TCP/UDP?? to the LAN address of your node I have people do it

Re: Echolink
2 things: 1.? it's a common fallacy that you need to forward TCP 5200.? You don't.? That port is for outbound traffic only (connects to the Echolink servers). 2.? Some routers have bugs that bite

Re: Echolink
Simple solution:? Use a proxy on KD6CWI, that will resolve the problem.

Re: Echolink
The two main points: In modules.conf, make sure that the Echolink module is loaded. load => chan_echolink (change noload to load on that line). Next, configure echolink.conf with your node details
By Tony Langdon · #3000 ·
Re: Echolink
all you have to do is nano echolink.conf file and change the settings. make sure you are set for a -L from echolink and you will have a node number for it. yes there are instructions.

Configuring echolink is pretty much identical on both ASL and HamVoIP, however, the echolink module in HamVoIP has lots of memory/code optimization and bug fixes that don't exist on the ASL version,
