The Channel Spacing option (0 or 1) is meant to select between narrowband (2.4 kHz deviation) and wideband (4.8 kHz deviation).? However, this option has no effect on the SA818 modules sold on the internet.? They are always narrowband.? This is not compatible with the 5 kHz deviation we use for our FM radios.? Thus the SA818 modules used in SHARI are procured directly from NiceRF and are permanently programmed for 5 kHz deviation.? Thus you can use a "0" or a "1" as it has no effect.
A squelch setting of 0 means the squelch is always open (listen mode).? 1 is minimum squelch and 8 is maximum squelch.
