I have my PiZero2w in my office near the heat vent (window) for better reception and less noise. I also use a rubber ducky antenna from an old HT.

Room temperature ranges from 72 to 78 degrees.? The Pi average temp runs between 123 to 121 and 50 Celsius. I did drill some 3 very small holes on the side panels. One on each of the bottom corners
and one top center. This dropped the temperature about 4 degrees. I wanted to maintain the RF shield of the metal enclosure.

I also found with the rubber ducky antenna. My signal to be more consistent in my house and outside. This extended my range to just under a 1/2 from my home.?
This extended my area for use, while walking.
