Re: display size
True, but If I go much beyond 800 x 600 on my home
15" dia screen, I have trouble seeing things.

Re: display size
Dear Jeff,
Most of today's modern laptops use a 1024 x 768 screen at 16bit color. 800 x 600 is
on the small side for screens less than 12" diagonal. Even the most inexpensive
laptops in the last

Re: display size
800 x 600 is pretty much the norm. I use that at home, and
at work, my screen size is much larger.

Sorry for the forum departure, but my new site is almost there. While InterNIC
transfers my domain to my new server, I was wondering what display size you run
in? My concern is really how many of you

Re: Audio Magazine
It's a shame about Audio Magazine, but it seems that
with the proliferation of cheap crap audio equipment,
and everyone's pre-occupation with the internet, Custom
home audio is a dwindling interest

Re: Mark XXX
Boy if we could find replacement slider pots, that would be marvelous!
I found the company that made the original pots, but we'd need to order
like 1000 of them.

On the subject of spare parts, A guy I have known for years
has a surplus electronics place. I've been able to either replace or even
repair most switches to restore them to like new condition.

Re: Mark XXX
If you can take a picture of the switch, removed from the unit, and
send me some basic measurements, I can probably locate it for you.

Re: Mark XXX
Dear Folks,
To those of you who need GENERIC parts, you can find almost anything from
jobbers, distributors, etc. The power switch for the XXX should be rated at
TV-7 and almost anything will work

Hello
To Mark & group,
I'm pleased to have just joined your community. I was afraid I might be
subjected to a torturous initiation ritual and be forced to clean ALL of the
relay contacts in a P101 preamp!

Re: interconnects
The only thing you need to consider on interconnects is your environment.
If you live in a high humidity condition (above 60% relative), it's best
to consider maybe a gold end connector.

please let me know. I'm in dire need of some parts off the pcb, so cosmetics

Re: 2200 schematic found!
James is 100% correct. As a designer and builder of my own amplifiers in
the past, I found the bias measuremnts to be only a rough adjustment so
as not to over-current the semiconductor devices

Re: 2200 schematic found!
Dear Mark,
It's not so much as finding ways to reduce distortion but rather, examining
history. Most designers "officially" rate the THD much higher than it actually
is. This is done to cover the

Sell, Hell, I'll make a copy for you and turn it into a PDF file.
I'll then e-mail it, or try to post it on the SAE talk file area.
Also in PDF, I have the 180 / 1800 Para EQ manual.I was going to
