It's a shame about Audio Magazine, but it seems that
with the proliferation of cheap crap audio equipment,
and everyone's pre-occupation with the internet, Custom
home audio is a dwindling interest indeed.
Today's music isn't the thing that lends itself to demand
high fidelity. It's loud, noisy distorted, and somewhat out-of-tune.
Not like what we had in the 70's. The musicianship is not there either
for the most part, even though there are a few exceptions.
Ode to an era long past.

We have just been told from reliable sources that Audio Magazine (owned
by Hachette Filipacchi) will cease publication with their February/March
issue that has just come off the presses. The reason generally seems to
stem around the lack of advertising funds. Our sources also seem to know
that Michael Riggs and Corey Greenberg will go back to another magazine
while Ken Kessler's world renown writings will continue to grace the
pages of various magazines worldwide. The remainder of the staff's
future is unknown. The news about Audio Magazine was announced to the
staff late yesterday afternoon.

I personally have not subcribed to this magazine since High School. But
I remember the old days when they had articals on how to build stuff. I
always like it better than Stereo Review. I like High Fedility the
least. I was into the reports and technical side of stuff. My likes and
dislikes were based on that point of view.
