We have taken down our 441.8125 repeater in Live Oak temporarily as we are having the duplexers re-tuned.? Our YSF is back up and going through 442.750 N8IQT in N. Bexar county.
On Thursday, May 15th, our 442.750 will be down as we are taking those duplexers to be retuned as well.? We are traveling to Waco and back in the same day, so we hope to have these both back on the air by Friday morning.
New cables were ordered for:? 441.8125?- Moving to New Braunfels

This will enhance the user capability in San Antonio and provide?new coverage in the New Braunfels/San Marcos/Canyon Lake area/Shertz/Live Oak area.

M17 Protocol. M17 is a completely open-source digital voice protocol, designed for amateur radio use. Not a single part of it is patent encumbered. M17 uses Codec 2 voice codec.. Protocol＊s specification is available through a GitHub repository.. There＊s a
list of supported radios, should you want to use Module17 or any other hardware with M17 support with analog FM rigs.

This sounds like a fun project with a multi-mode room or single "Sandbox repeater" for testing.??
Since we have over 25 repeater connections, the stability of our C4FM Fusion connection is the backbone of our network.? We have found? Yaesu's Wires X platform to be very robust and has proven to provide us with exceptional stability and performance.?
Yaesu continues to upgrade their network as technological advances become available.??
CURRENT CONNECTIONS
You can connect to our network on YSF, FCS, Wires X, PDN or through your local Wires X repeater.? Each connection we add into the network increases latency (delay) in the repeater network.??
The RF Shark Open Spot 4 plus actually allows users to connect on their device using Dstar, DMR, and P25 through our YSF reflector.? These modes can create their own challenges as well, but they are available for users but mileage may vary depending how your
equipment is set up and your connection.
I will certainly explore this technology with other groups that may have more experience with it.
At this time, we have no plans of introducing M17 to Wires X.? As technology continues to evolve, we always have to look and test best in class technologies.??
