Here in toledo w8hhf machine, we run 5 watts, nobody has noticed, that's 1.5 s units on a standard s meter. 5 to 10 to 20 is 1 db which equals 1 s unit, 20 to 50 is a half or little more of an s unit. Our dr1 has locked up before, at 5 watts it doesn't burn up before we can reset.? Tom kd8wcd

Sorry, I did not include this in the first email. But has anybody determined if climate controlled facilities or extra fans on the equipment could prevent any burnout.

Is everyone operating in a climate control environment?
