That is meant for charging purposes only and is not meant to be used while on the air.? They make a cigarette lighter connector for the FTM3- and FTM-5 that is used on 12 volts. ?

I¡¯ve noticed that in my FT5D, when I plug or unplug the supplied power connector, the radio reboots. Is this normal for this radio? The power supply that came with it is the SAD-25.?
My FT-70D does not have this weakness.?
