If you install different cam carriers, then yes, you'll have to re-shim the valve clearances. If you wish to get real specific about it, you would also need new tappets, unless the new cam carrier

Yes, I have done this on my 1974 Jensen-Healey I have a 910 cam carrier on the exhaust side of the 2.0L 907 motor in my Healey. I did it a few years ago and I don't recall any unusual issues.
