For tire sizes with current listings in the right sizes, are they performance tires, grocery-getter tires, all-season tires... what are they?
I'v had some "general purpous" tires on the book-spec size on my Esprit S2 that handled like crap. There's more to tires than size.

For the record, I have attached a pic of the glove box tag that lists the official recommended tire size. I did a quick search at Discount Tire and they did not have the 206/60R14. They do have them at performance plus tire. FWIW.

Using General Altimax RT43, 195/60 14 front, 205/70 14 rear. Could not find any make/model that had both 205/60 14 and 205/70 14. Had an older set of barely used Federal tires that matched factory spec sizes. They were awful as they could not be balanced (tried several times). The front end wobbled at about 55-60 MPH. The new set of General's rectified the wobble and provided silky-smooth driving at all speeds. Would not use them on a track, but great for cruising and fast turns on country roads.
