I own a bigger bunch of IXO trucks in 1/43. Well detailed, priceworthy and recommendable. You should get those 1/64 trucks via diecastdirect.com Regarding that a GMC General was my first 1/24 truck kit when I was a boy you know what I shall look for.

I concur on the appearance of those new vehicles and the price of them!

However, there is a similar Mack that I have on my layout--seller escapes me at this time!.? but a flatbed trailer with badly done green hay bale load was included.?

Then there is a somewhat similar Dodge-cab over from another supplier (probably Die cast Direct).

Then lastly...we knew this was coming!? For the apparent quality it's not too out of line, until you look at what a real one would cost...? past and present!? If the grand daughter gets two Christmas dolls--you get one truck or search for Tootsie Toys in a junk box!

I look at it like Code 3 Fire Engines. Code 3 and this Mack truck are like fine scale brass engines, it’s all in the detail! There has long been a market for these high end die cast vehicles. I’ve seen several over the years I’ve wished I had. The justification comes in if you have that special scene to set up. My cousins husband was the CE0 of Mack, he had several of these high end die cast from companies that they dealt with.?

I hope you guys will remember our great Frank Titman' who welded frames for Mack trucks!? Somehow I guess that Frank wasn't given any scale models of them has he was just a line worker!

One of my scale obsessions is die cast trucks in 1/64.? I just purchased my second IXO truck and it is beautiful.? I have about 100 First Gear and DCP by first gear trucks that I started collecting in the 90s.

The trucks look very well made and detailed, and are less than 1/2 the price of a new freight car (RTR or kit), so that seems “reasonable”. Particularly as we generally don’t need as many trucks.

The other Mack B model Bob has is an Ertl.

There are apparently quite a few hobbyists who model trucks (and specialty suppliers who provide details for them); many of them are as avid in their research and modeling as any model railroader.? It probably makes sense to say there is a spectrum between those who primarily model railroads to those who model only trucks, with most people somewhere in the middle.

Adding turnsignals, westcoast mirrows, mudflaps etc can improve Ertl, Hartoy, Winross etc.? ?Stan
