I wrote to Scale Trains a while back stating that I do not expect them to eat the tariff, I expect to pay the additional cost to get my S scale trains.??

With inflation, the cost of my $5 AF boxcar in 1960 would be $55 now, almost as much as the list price for the?much higher quality SHS reefer.??

The higher SHS quality is enough to cover the tariff cost.? Cheap imports have been nice, but the cost going up is not enough to make me abandon the hobby; just makes the cost more similar to what it would have been with inflation, and also similar cost to what we have been paying for made in USA kits.? But yes, sure would be nice if there was more manufactured in USA production capability.??
