Many parts that we buy for our trains are simply going to increase in price beyond what we want to pay.? Possibly we can treat one another well and sell here at lower costs.
As far as production shifting back to the US, currently big companies are doing little.? What do we then think that our little suppliers are going to do?? A 100% add on may be better than trying to move and pay US wages.? It has not been noted in the news, but say a company does decide to move to the US.? Does our government then try to charge them import duty on their factory?
For us here, there is then the subject of time.? How long does it take to shift an industry geographically? ?Many or most of us may not be here anymore.
Also, consider any train manufacturer.? The machinery is in China.? They do not allow export of this, and tell Mr. Trump to build his own equipment in the US.? Now what?
And then maybe a final consideration.? How much is made in S anyway?? Are we all ready to buy the new double price flex track???
