I don't necessarily agree with that; all scales have their merit, and I feel we should embrace and applaud efforts made in scales other than the one we happen to choose...but that's just me.

As I mentioned earlier, the code 148 AM track I use will allow me to run:
?
'40 and 50's vintage Flyer, if the mood strikes;
?
'60's era Enhorning F units;
?
"Modern" era American Models.
?
I'm using a rather robust Marnold power supply, so it can handle the "universal" AC/DC motors in those Flyer steamers, does a fine job with the big Pittman open-framed motors of the Enhornings, as well as the small-ish cans in the AM units.
?
My point is, it's all good and that's enough for me.
