Since I started my layout in 1985 it's grown in
s semi orderly way to the present point.? I've managed to add
two medium sized yards,, a passenger staging yard and nearly
doubled the trackage and turnouts too.? All this has been
challenging and rewarding in sometimes reverse order!?
Over the weekend, I started to make some minor
changes but of course, they all involve making sawdust and
rerouting the 110V wiring.? I don't know what you guys have
used but I seem to have many outlet strips.? None of the uses
need heavy wiring but I did wiring for 20 amps.? But over
these years I probably have 15+ outlet strips.? These are the
ones typically have a half dozen branch outlets, a surge
protector, and often some phone connectors all in one plastic
box with slotted mounting 'holes'.? Obviously I don't use the
phone outlets so that area is wasted real estate for my use.?
Then those 6-8 outlets are too close as in today's world many
have wall wart transformer that block additional outlets to
the point that only two plugs can be used.? Next, those hidden
slotted mounting holes take tolls on one's patience,? So I've
spent countless hours rerouting them to make life easier--so
far mostly a fut al attempt!?
