Pop one of the hatches. Fill with sand til it meets the required weight. Add Great Stuff polyurethane to stabilize.

I have purchased several of the SSA ACF 3 bay covered hoppers from Des Plaines.? I noticed the cars are really light and was wondering if anyone has added weights to these cars?? From looking at the bottom of the car I am not sure I can pry the body off.? ?

I think most of the box cars I purchased are heavy enough but not sure if any can be added.
?
