If you only have a few to do, and/or don't want to drag out a corded dremel, you can use a fiber or stainless steel scratch brush: does a great job very quickly.??
This is not a wood handled brush but one that looks like a retractable pencil.? These I found quickly but there are others selling at less cost.??

You need a significant soldering unit to get the code 137 rail hot enough for a good joint. I have a PBL HOTIP just for layout work.
