The big let downs were a couple of companies that tried and always failed to make new entire train sets, making lots of noise but mostly just hot air at best!? Then we had several, one a Texas co that attempted to produce brass locomotives.? Of course these were not clubs but just failed businesses.?

Not to be picky, but I have many fond memories of the Glory Days when various clubs all over the USA would take it upon themselves to produce kits for the rest of us.? The kits were adequate and served the purpose well.? Considering the time involved, I doubt if any club made anything remotely close to the minimum wage.? The feeling of "we are all in the same boat" was stronger back then.? Club projects were a lot of fun for the groups involved.

With lasers, 3D printing and computer-generated artwork (decals), the individual modeler of today can do a lot more things for himself (and others) than ever before.? ?Time and technology marches on.........
