¿ªÔÆÌåÓýFor many years I've used and acquired old AF
transformers to power switch motors and my homemade uncouplers.?
I have 4 areas where they are used.? I needed to replace one of
the basic tiny units.? With frequent use it started to get hot +
not to mention these are 60+ years old and it didn't have a
circuit breaker either! So I was given the opportunity to upgrade to a
larger unit with a circuit breaker--progress, I tell you!?
However with any gift horse, I found that it buzzed rather
loudly.? So last night,? I decided to see what I can do to fix
the buzz!? First I exchanged it with another unit, so now it's
across the room--obviously that helped except to whomever might
be operating in that area.? The new location had a wooden box once used for some camera gear now re-purpsed for storage.? I found some thick but very soft fabric that I glued/stapled to the inside walls.? I think that effort has brought the buzz down to soft hum that I can live with.? Maybe some further work can help even more.? If that works you'll hear it here! Bob Werre Phototraxx PS.? In one of my BBB announctments that our little Orphan cat had delivered a litter that could be had.? Well of the five, we lost two but the rest seem to be thriving with a little help from "grandma"! Anybody?
