I just finished up another interesting and unique passenger car project.? The Monon converted two of the US Army's ACF Hospital Cars into LW Baggage/RPO cars.? Mark Meeks at Union Station Products has added this car to his list of milled styrene sides and they served as the basis for this model.? ?The base for the project was an old American Models LW Coach serving as the core and with many BTS brass and Pre-Size Models resin detail parts added.? Matching the Monon's three color passenger livery was a bear but I ultimately came close with lots of experimenting. There is not a lot of Monon information out there.? I also painted a Monon Pullman 10/1/2 at the same time. Both cars still need the specific Monon lettering to be added, but I am pleased with the outcome.
