tour
2
I just got a message from Pollstar about the upcoming tour. It showed a show in Cincy at PNC Pavillion. I nearly had a cow as I had just bought tix for Cleveland which is over twice as far away. I went back to the Archives site and noted that on that day Aug 8th he will be in Charlotte at the PNC Pavillion there. Don’t you just love the duplicity in the day of sponsoring venues. Just give me Deer Creek tom

Ticket for Monchengladbach 'stehplatz' without discount
2
Dear all, I bought my 2 ordinary ‘PK2 stehplatz’ tickets for the Monchengladbach Sparkassenpark stadion on the 4th of July (!), and it went well, but without discount. Does anybody know what is the use of the budget code? Is it only meant for the pre-sale possibility? I’m a little disappointed as a long time member of the Neil Young Archives….. Regards, Fons.

Northerly Island Chicago Show
2
Always looking forward to a possible Neil show, but Northerly Island is my last choice. My wife requires ADA seating and based on the seat view photos online it looks like a pretty flat venue with poor seating. One shot looked like it was only a few rows from the stage to the left, but with everyone standing up in front all you see is the back of their heads. If anyone has suggestions on where good line-of-sight elevated ADA seating is located I would appreciate it. Barry G. Hicks Rock'n'Roll - If It's Too Loud, You're Too Old!

I hear there are shows coming. I understand the presale starts soon. I don’t see anything at the archive about the shows. I missed the last time I could buy tickets and got cancelled out last year. Can someone enlighten me about the presale procedures? It looks like Cleveland will be our closest but it would be a birthday show. Thanks for any help in the process. Searchin for the sound tom

1983 Viglione Solo Trans Tour Compilation

Does anyone have a tracklisting for this? The files I have aren't tagged and the only supporting files I have are the artwork. Looking for a text file or something I can feed xACT to tag the files rather than typing them all out myself.

Premier Guitar Discussion on Neil Youtube/podcast
Hi, So, this is two guys talking about Neil (he's not a guest or anything). Here's the youtube video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NP5trXsQBQ Haven't listened to this podcast but here's the link: https://www.premierguitar.com/podcast/100-guitarists/how-weird-can-neil-young-get They discuss his guitar playing and songwriting. Not sure if I agree with everything they say, but it's interesting. Enjoy, Randy aka doc

Big Change
2
I've listened to this song several times now. Every time I do, I starting wondering, did Neil see something that he can't describe in the song because it might scare us? Or, did he see something and he really doesn't know what it is, so he's not sure if its good or bad? Or, is this just a generic song about change. It's A, B, or C. I'm going with B.

ISO Shows to replace corrupted files
3
I recently got some new external drives and migrated my digital music library. In that process a couple of Neil Young shows have corrupted files. Does anyone have lossless copies of these two shows that they could share? 9/13/1983 - Lansing, Michigan 4/11/1988 - San Jose (Early show)

ISO 1983/1984 shows
3
While I was looking at my list after I made my request for replacements for my corrupted files, I started looking at the holes in my library. Anyone have any of these that are sharable? For some reason the early Solo Trans stuff gets shared torrented way more than the Summer/Fall Shocking Pinks part of the tour. I'm sure others need these shows too. 1983-02-01 Champaign 1983-07-20 Las Cruces 1983-07-26 Sacramento 1983-07-30 Vancouver 1983-09-06 Cuyahoga Falls 1983-09-07 Pittsburgh 1983-09-10 Morgantown 1983-09-12 Clarkston 1983-09-13 Lansing 1983-09-16 Bloomington 1983-09-18 Dayton (full show not just Solo Trans movie) 1984-09-18 Nashville 1984-09-20 Nashville

NNC : Iain Matthews book
As many of you will know, as well as being a huge Neil fan, I am also a big fan of Iain Matthews' music and have had the privilege of working with Iain and Cherry Red Records on box sets of his back catalogue albums for the past three years (more coming hopefully!). A book about Iain and his music over the years is set to be published later this year in October 2025 by Spenwood Books of Manchester, UK......see below. -----‐------ "Iain Matthews – A People’s History" will be a hardback book containing over 300 fan memories of seeing Iain in concert or encountering him over the years. Have you seen Iain in concert? Met him somewhere along the road? Got a favourite song of Iain’s that means something to you? We want to hear your memories. Every submission will be acknowledged, and as we approach publication, we’ll let you know if your story is going to be included in the final book. If you are sending us a story, around 400 words in length is ideal. If you’re sending us a gig memory, please include the date of the show if you can. If you’re sending photos, please ensure these are at least 300KB and please attach them as separate jpegs. Iain Matthews – A People’s History will be published in paperback by Spenwood Books on 24 October 2025. ISBN 978-1-915858-40-5. To share your Iain Matthews memory, please write to iainmatthewsbook@.... ------------ If anyone else on the Rust List knows Iain, has seen him in concert over the years or just plain likes his music, and wants to be involved in this excellent initiative then now is the time to send in your contributions as a deadline is looming. Get writing folks! Ron

In praise of Chico Neto
4
Hi all, I just received my Archives III box here in Brazil (thanks to a fellow rustie who brought it to me with his luggage for his vacations here in Rio) and I couldn't help but remember my dear friend Chico, who passed away almost six years ago. Chico was very active at this group many years ago, contributing with lots of artwork for bootlegs from the Greendale era and beyond. He had a huge musical collection and was very generous with his trades, back at the "mail days" before torrents and streaming. I'm sure many of you older rusties remember him. I met Chico just before the 2001 Rock in Rio concert, and we became buddies ever since. He was literally my best friend for almost two decades, until his untimely passing in 2019 due to a heart attack. It is a pity that he never lived to see (and hear) the release of Archives II and III, which he liked to call "the Holy Graal in parcelments". I bought both sets in his honor and made it a kind of a personal ritual to hear every new NY release thinking about him, as well as a "special hearing session" at his birth and death anniversaries (I'll do it again soon). If you knew Chico, please light a candle, say a prayer or send happy thoughts to him next February 8th, wherever he may be. He would surely appreciate it! Thanks and all the best, Fabio "Yes I'm Passionate" Gradel
