Re: Re NEIL YOUNG SOUNDTRACK SERIES
I think that NYA membership is the best value for a Neil Young fan ever. Annual classic membership is $25/year. About 7 cents a day. Rust level is $45/year or about 12 cents a day. Become a paying member and you can play what you asked about anytime on the timeline. Mike Expecting To Fly On Sat, Oct 26, 2024 at 6:42?AM Chris Webb via <chrisrwebb1954=[email protected]> wrote:

Re NEIL YOUNG SOUNDTRACK SERIES
Hi All, I am not a member of NYA - buying his archives is expensive enough , ha, ha. I am intrigued to know whether a member of the NYA can ask Neil, if Journey Through The Past will be included in this series, the Soundtrack Series? Not Neil's finest, but the CSNY version of Ohio/ Find the Cost of Freedom is just the best ever. Thanks in advance? Chris Webb |
Re: NEIL YOUNG ¨C ARCHIVES VOLUME 3 A GUIDE: WHAT IT CONTAINS AND WHAT IS MISSING
Just wanted to add that the information on the musical content of the eleven films listed at the end of Part 2 is not from Sugar Mountain or NYA but my own 'analysis', so any mistakes are down to me! Corrections and comments on the content are very welcome. |
NEIL YOUNG ¨C ARCHIVES VOLUME 3 A GUIDE: WHAT IT CONTAINS AND WHAT IS MISSING
Thanks to Robert Broadfoot for creating and sharing this. Here's his description:
?
NYU GUIDE TO ARCHIVES VOL. 3
What is in it and what is missing
Things are a little quiet in Neil Young land right now so perhaps it is a good time to chuck this document out there for the completists. It is a brief NYU review of where Archives Vol. 3 came from, what it finally contained, and almost more importantly what is missing!
As always I have trawled a lot of sources for the information but the selection here is subjective, as are my own personal contributions of course. It is definitely a work in progress, so please do not hesitate to let me know of errors etc. for a revised second edition.
Comments welcome!

Re: Neil fan on Jeopardy!
Great to hear. I was at the first two Coastal Tour shows but I somehow missed meeting him. I'll be cheering him on later today. He's a smart guy, an excellent Jeopardy player. Neil fan on Jeopardy!
For any fans of the gameshow Jeopardy out there, the current champion is a huge Neil Young fan. On his first show, he talked about his guitar playing activity. On today's broadcast, Ken Jennings asked him how he learned to play guitar. He said it was by learning to play "every Neil Young song." He followed up by saying he's seen Neil live 31 times in the last 31 years. He won today's show too so he will be on tomorrow's show. His name is Will, not sure of his last name. The show tapes weeks in advance, so all this took place a while ago.
?
Fun fact: I attended a taping of the Jeopardy game show earlier this year. Flew into LAX from Phoenix in the morning and back later that day after watching the taping. Great experience for a Jeopardy fan like me.

Dreamin' Man
Last night, with the moon full, I had a Neil dream. My husband and I were in a mall, going to what looked like a church service. Once inside, I looked around and saw Neil and spoke to him. After the church (or whatever it was) meeting was over, I lost sight of my hubby and ended up getting lost.? Yep, I couldn't find my hubby, couldn't find the car...I was lost in the mall. |
