Yes, Mort, Yay LincVolt! : )
In LincVolt news, LV will be at the JavaOne conference in Cali (that was for you Keith) next week, on June 5. Crackle mentioned on TW the other day that there "might" be a webcast. Randy Fisk (MileageQuest for LV followers) and Thrasher will get the 411 if that's going to happen, and will then share with all of us, but it's usually last minute so keep your ear to the ground. Just a heads up for all the friends of LV that we might be able to see the ol' girl for realz next week.

Re: No BBC on Archives, alas

According to the Archives Guy on TW

" BBC show?
It was considered and then dropped. The program is shown a lot on TV, heavily traded and the clips are the most widely watched Neil Young videos on YouTube.

We have no plans to release it in the future.

There are a couple of possible reasons...

1. Rights - it's still the BBC's, I believe... maybe they couldn't negotiate a (shakey) deal.

2. Sound - I'd be surprised if it was recorded in anything better than broadcast quality sound... which in the UK in 1971 was crappy. I suspect the 'digital' version shown recently in the UK is just a lossless version of the BBC's tape. The sound difference between this and the rest of the Archives might be too painful for Neil to bear ;-)

So Matt, grovel for a nice DVD taken off the digital signal and you'll be a happy man :-)

Well, this morning, we received our shipments of the Archives!!!! Let me just say that this product is the real deal, absolutely mindblowing; and this is just the packaging I'm talking about. This thing is physically large! The book is beautiful; it has a soft leather-like cover, and is filled with amazing stuff. Although I was disappointed to find no text within the book. The poster is really cool too, as is the foldable box that holds the discs themselves. Although, I do find that the sleeves that hold the discs can be a pain to remove from the box.
