Thanks so much for making this available, Ron, and adjusting the quality.

Andrew's comment about the female backup singers made me interested in hearing it even more. I downloaded the show from Ron's link and uploaded it to my own wetransfer, where the expiration date is a year from now (1/2/26).?

Thanks for trying Jim!!! There were a few folks who tried. I think the trick is to let people know when you are going to be on, or when you ARE on, and then stay a bit. Sometimes, even in my weekly zoom meetings, i wait 30 ro 40 minutes before the first person comes on. I just do other stuff on the puter while i am waiting!!! and then... i hit the sack immediately after midnight, i was SO tired!!! But glad you got to talk to a few folks,? i was hoping the west coast folks would stay on a bit.?

Re: Best Crazy Horse Concert?

Live at the Fillmore East, 1970 is the one I listen to the most. I particularly like what Jack Nietzsche brings to the songs Down by the River and Cowgirl but also hearing Neil and Danny’s interplay.?

Re: Neil pulls out of Glastonbury 2025

Maybe the BBC wanted to dictate a 'greatest hits' type setlist

Re: Neil pulls out of Glastonbury 2025

I realise I am treading on sacred ground here with this thought but might Neil have not been offered a headline spot on the main Pyramid stage? If he wasn’t, he would only get an hour to play. I can imagine him turning such an offer down.?

Re: Neil pulls out of Glastonbury 2025

?
BBC will have insisted on showing showing the entire set live, as they do now for all headliners. NY will have refused as he did back in 2009 when only 30 mins (6 tracks) was shown on the BBC.?
?
Fair play, Neil has always had artistic control. It's also virtually impossible to get Glastonbury tickets these days. I went to 8 between 1997 - 2010 but don't even bother registering anymore. I couldn't get tickets for 2009, so went to the Nottingham gig a few days before.?
?
Still hoping for a show at Piece Hall in Halifax, hell of a outdoor venue.?

Neil pulls out of Glastonbury 2025

From John Einarson:

Anybody here know what unsavory things BBC was asking of Neil?

“Neil Young pulls out of playing Glastonbury 2025, says it’s become a ‘corporate turn-off’

Neil Young and his band The Chrome Hearts are no longer playing at this year’s Glastonbury music festival, the rock legend has announced.

Young said in a statement posted to his official website that his reason for backing out of his set is because of requests made by the festival’s corporate partner, British broadcaster the BBC.

“The Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all time favorite outdoor gigs,” Young wrote in the statement. “We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in. it seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way i remember it being.”

“We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn - off, and not for me like it used to be,” Young added.

After thanking his supporters for seeing him play at the festival in 2009, he teased his upcoming tour, writing, “hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour” this coming year. Young did not elaborate on what he claimed the festival had wanted him and his band to do during their set that caused him to pull out of performing.“

Best Crazy Horse Concert?

I hope this might be an interesting discussion for the new year.? Over the years, Neil has shared many CDs and Timeline Concerts featuring Crazy Horse.? This is a tough question, but which live recording with Crazy Horse is your favorite?? Is there one that you keep going back to??
