Is there a recording in circulation of Toronto May 20, 2024 ?

Looking for a recording, my search skills on Dime-a-dozen are not very good.
Thanks,?

Harvest Moon - A Gathering 2024-10-05

This was one terrific show. It was a benefit for The Painted Turtle and held on their campground. It provides free camp experiences for kids with serious medical needs. It was founded by Paul Newman and I believe Daryl Hannah is an active current supporter. The concert also benefits The Bridge School. This year the artists were Lily Meola, John Mayer, and Stephen Stills with Neil Young. I attended the benefit concert back in 2019 and the one that was held yesterday. Both were special experiences. Also unique during my time as a Rustie because I encountered exactly zero people I know from the Neil Young concert going gang I know.

The setlist from Tom Hambleton's absolutely-essential-for-Neil-fans site sugarmtn.org? will be at the end of this message.

This was a Stills/Young band performance, a four-piece band featuring Corey McCormick on bass and vocals and Anthony Logerfo on drums. Other artists from previously in the day filled in here and there. It was great to see Neil so happy to be on-stage performing. The first surprise of theu day was the Stills penned classic Hung Upside Down. Not slick but still great to hear. There was a spirited attempt at the CSN song Helplessly Hoping. It's kind of hard to not try to hear Crosby/Nash on this song but this band was out there giving us their version. I gotta admit, Stills' vocals are a bit shakey, but I respect them for extending the effort. It was a real treat to hear Neil perform Field Of Opportunity. His voice was strong, his energy was high. (I know from mysugarmtn that it was the 5th time I've watched Neil play that tune.) He played some popular classics but the most memorable tunes of the night were the previously mentioned Field Of Opportunity, a wonderful version of Stills' Bluebird, and an encore performance of Vampire Blues as a 3-piece band (Stills stepped aside.) Being present at this show is a memory I will always cherish.

Thanks!

PS: I sure hope that Neil and the Chrome Hearts eventually play in the Bay Area!

I grabbed it, and it is very good - I love ¡°I¡¯m the Ocean¡± and ¡°Throw your hatred down¡±!

A friend wants this show, but I deleted the email with the link.

Could someone please repost that link?

At the time it was great fun reading them every 3 months as they arrived in the mail but I have to admit? they haven't even seen seen the light of day in the 10 years since I retired.
Neil nostalgia makes me very reluctant to just take them to the tip so if any UK Rust List members within striking distance of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire would like them then contact me off list ASAP and let's see what can be organised.

Ian, yeah, lots of good to great stuff scattered throughout NY3.?

One that knocked my socks off was The Catalyst video.? I¡¯ve heard the audio before but this video (even at less than optimum resolution) burns. Rock and Touch The Night especially. Woah!

Lee,

I have a few versions of CAT on vinyl and to my shakey ears there's really not a lot between them ( the vinyl ie? :)? )

Australian, New Zealand ( with the Give To The Wind label ) , Japan , US original , plus the remaster from the?Official Release Series box set, which is the same version as the 2016 CAT release.

Subjective of course but I would rate the remaster as the winner. But the others are all very good, especially the Japan version.

But note that I only compared the same 2 tracks on each vinyl ie Goin Back & Look Out For My Love .

Hope that helps a bit.

cheers, Gary
