Graham Nash's Interview on 94.7 today--talk of CSNY 2002 DVD???
Did anyone happen to hear Graham's interview at 3:30pm on Classic Rock
94.7 (WARW) in the DC area today (9/20)? I had trouble hearing everything 'cause only the rear speaker, in the school bus that I drive, works. I thought I heard him mention something about a new DVD...CSNY 2002...was taped on Feb. 9 (there was no concert that night) in the works--maybe it was just wishful hearing. FYI: He will be putting on, what he called, a mini concert workshop at the Smithsonian on November 7. Rusting in Peace Tula Tu_ _la la la... over the rainbow |

Julie London's hubby (NNC)
Mark Kemmerle
Robbie sez re: Julie London
<Just cuz your a young whippersnapper, as you say, don't ever think of depriving yourself of the music of Julie, with the "bedroom voice". My parents, (both musicians in their day) turned me onto her. Remember the show emergency...Rampart one? She was on that show and the dr. with the white hair was her hubby ( in real life)> I throw in: "the dr. with the white hair" was indeed her hubby, Bobby Troup, the author of one of the great rock songs of all time (though it didn't quite start out that way) "Route 66." Nat "King" Cole had a version, then it was transmogrified by Ray Charles, Matt Lucas, the Rolling Stones, and Them (and numerous others, I'm sure) into one of the all-time greats. Re: Jonathan Richman weed CLOSED
Jos van den Berg
I'm happy to tell that I was overwhelmed by responses to this weed!
It appears that are much more admirers of JoJo than I thought. The lucky winners have been notified, and will get the show next week. I even added a nice filler from a concert from The Modern Lovers back in the '70's. Sorry to those I had to disappoint, but you can expect to see more offers for this show on Rust soon! Jos ~Coastline~ PS one last addition on my part to the sex music thread, because I totally forgot this one: Dinah-Moe Humm by Frank Zappa! I won't quote from it, since there appear to be minors on this list, but just check out the lyrics here: :-) |
International Harvesters are Everywhere
Just got back from the Big E (Eastern States expo - New England states fair)
on display was only farm equipment including a 1920 International Harvester engine, a 1.5 Horsepower beauty that powered small machines such as a hay bailer. Made by the International Co, Chicago. RJ speaking out in Buffalo Springfield MA |
NY & CH 1970 tour comp. TOTW
I just gave my tour 1970 set a listen and I have a skip on disc 2, song 2 The
Loner @ 2:36. My branch said it is recorded in to his set. Can anyone tell me if this is the way this show is or is this a flawed copy. If this is not meant to be is there anyone willing to trade or B&P for a clean one ? Thanks Cliff |

Re: How we listen to music
Mark Georg
From: "toni wiker" <earthmom1960@...>
tastes got me to wondering... When I listen to musicMy husband (THE King Crimson and other such musicalI'm more like your husband, the notes and music have to be there first, I don't care about the lyrics. But if they're good lyrics, that's a huge bonus. Mark Georg Pardon My Heart |
