Any N.O. Jazz Fest fans out there?? CSNY posted as rumored guests for
FRI 4/26/2002

i think i'd rather go to the dentist than endure the crowd at the fairgrounds
again. call me selfish, but i don't like to share my music with 100,000
people at once.

however, the night shows around town during jazz fest at places like
the seanger theater, house of blues, howling wolf, tip's, etc. are where
it's at.

i still don't understand why europe got a tour with crazy horse and neil
sticks the u.s. with that csn crap. oh well, i guess i won't be seeing
neil this year either....

Hello Everybody,

It's a new year and about time I wrote a letter to all of you who have

been

loyal friends and fans or just curious folks who have subscribed to my
website. I wanted to drop a line and say Happy New Year to you and thank
you!

I also want to let you know I have a brand new website that it is now up

I want to thank all the fans who have sent in their thoughts and posted on
the message board. Your participation in the website keeps me going.

With this new website, comes the promise of the next - and long overdue -
release of my second record. I'm hoping we can have it ready and in stores
by this summer.

This is time for new things... a new website, a new record, a new band, a
new sound and a new beginning. It's been a long journey full of soul
searching, traveling and gigging. The road that lies ahead is one that I
look forward to sharing with you all as much as possible. From here on out
it's onward and upward!

The design of the website was made to facilitate my interaction with you,
(what a concept). I think that, overall, it just looks and sounds better.

I'd like to thank my Webmaster, Heidi, for doing a great job and being so

Two men who held up a south Phoenix bank yesterday afternoon are
believed to be two fugitives from Florida, according to Phoenix police
department officials.Brew County National Bank was held up at approximately
1:45 pm on tuesday by two men who demanded,oddly enough, only $30,000 from
the teller, Jill Seagraves, after strolling into the bank lobby dressed as
women.Seagraves, who required medical attention after fainting upon the
suspects rapid departure from the bank, located at the corner of 5th and
Vermouth, told police officers that the men were extremely polite and even
charming as they demanded $30,000 in fives and even wept as she relayed her
version of the ordeal.
"The big fella was kinda keepin' the other fella under control, as far
as i could tell..," recounted Seagraves,a divorced mother of fifteen."The
littlest one said to give him the money,that he was goin' to buy a car.That's
when the big fella squoze his throat and kinda shut him down.."
Arizona Highway Patrol were alerted and assured citizens that the
fugitives would be abducted by nightfall."We have every major highway covered
and roadblocks and helicopters and dogs and teevee and the National Guard and
the ABI and Dick Van Dyke and Lee Marvin's widow and all kinda stuff out
there lookin' to apprehend these criminals!", said AHP Captain John
Gabriel."I'd rather my sister have a Afghani baby than to be one of those two
when our boys catch up with 'em.."
Meanwhile,Interpol agent Tom Therme told assorted media gathered at
Van Dykes' compound outside of Phoenix that his men had located the two men
and were currently monitoring their whereabouts and conversation via a NASA
BFM-666 directional microphone,which can pick up dialogue in a fleeing
vehicle from approximately 15 miles.
"At this point in the investigation,taking into consideration the
complete and utter failure of every law enforcement agency at every level
between here and Hump County,Florida, my superiors have given me the
greenlight to monitor the whereabouts and conversation between the two
suspects and determine an appropiate solution to this ongoing dilemna that,
if you pardon my french, has been "slower than the smoke comin' off a turd
on a frosty mornin'.."
Brew County officials had no comment other than to report the
imminent arrival of a Dr. Ed Bugliosi from Florida who originally examined
one of the fugitives hours after his arrest.A spokesman for Bugliosi, wishing
to remain anonymous,told reporters that working for Bugliosi was "like bein'
in the goddamn navy!"
"Every mornin' he comes in, he makes us line up in formation..", said
the source.."then he says,like clockwork,.."skin 'em back and look fer
cheese, milk 'em down and stand at ease.." "then he kinda gazes out the
winda like he's some kinda sea captain,fondles his pipe and ...well, if ye
ever fondled yer pipe,you know how painful that can be.."
The California Highway Patrol has set up roadblocks at strategic
locations at press time.

Well, I hope you get all the knicks and knacks out...that usually happens
anywhere you go..like moving from one server company to another server
company. I usually get grumpy, too. You get comfortable with one aspect and
get turned off with another. Good luck, David!! Seems like you need some
quiet time to adjust!!! We'll hang in here with Neil Young!!! I still prefer
Topica...sorry that their system was not up to par. I would have thought that
the lady behind it all at Topica would have straightened it all out for us.

I thought this was the worst song I ever heard when I first caught ear
of it, but it contains a line which is one of my favorites:

Neil does a lot of putting down, so I love that line. Although with this
song, I really didn't "pick up" on what he is putting down!? As someone
suggested, people who troll for the bottom of the barrel women at gross
venues like the laundromat? I don't know, any thoughts?

Hello All.

I first went to the Jazz & Heritage Fest in New
Orleans in 1983 and have been 2 or 3 times since. I
believe that going to see any 'larger' name act is not
the best focus for a few reasons ... the arrangement
is not conducive to larger acts due to set lengths,
the crowds, the sound, etc ... .

The J&H Fest is like a good gumbo ... it is the
subtleties, the mix of many flavors ... most of the
special ingredients are small in quantity but the
overall flavor wouldn't be the same without them.

It is the unknown music/musicians there that are
these
special ingredients. Probably the most diverse
assortment of music styles assembled in one place. It
is too bad that the crowds are now so large, but it is
still a musical and cultural experience to be
experienced at least once by all true music lovers.

Six to eight weeks ago? Sounds like you don't know really when you sent it.
What are you out, one cd-r and postage? Was it a blank for someone to burn?
Was it a cd-r with a show on it? Lots of things can happen and for some 6-8
weeks is not that long of time. Is the person still posting on the list?
Does he seem to be active? There are many steps one should consider before
posting a name to any of the lists you mentioned as being a bad trader.

The key is to keep looking. Look at the seating chart before you start. Get
an idea what sections/rows you would be thrilled to sit in & start hunting.
Throw back everything that does not meet your requirements. Hit "back" to go
back to the "order tickets" page & keep pulling, as fast as possible. For
the first half hour, anything goes: some of the people who pulled front row
might screw up their credit card order & the tickets go back in the pool.
After I pulled my single in row 4 & completed the purchase, I went back in
to hunt for a pair for my buddies. I pulled up crap six times in a row and
then up comes row 5.

And if you don;t get what you want, do try again on the public onsale date
as not all of the sections are made available on presale day.
