Sorry for the non - Neil content, but I know there's some Dinosaur Jr. fans here (and J Mascis has been compared to Neil). Their concert last Friday (at the Bellwether in L.A.) was particularly good, they played the entire album Where You Been, and had some guest vocalists and musicians, and played some other classics and cover of I Wanna Be Your Dog and Just Like Heaven. Here's the download link - It's in FLAC.

Re: Cool Neil Pic (1984 or 1985?) - B/W with Waylon Jennings, Tim Drummond and 1/4 of Longrain
Here's a couple more from our generous anonymous rustie, and his notes. As before, they're in MKV format:
?
here's something else that you'll enjoy , it's a sneak peak of something that I'm working on which is Rotterdam 24-07-2001 one the longest non CSNY , I have de-noised , frame interpolated & upscaled & synched the timeline audio @?
?
if you're interested, the complete farm aid broadcast ( all 9.5 hours is ?@?
With a very big thanks to an anonymous rustie, here's some downloads along with his notes (the downloads are in mkv format):
?
here's some more Neil for you to enjoy.
?
Neil @ Farm Aid 21-09-2024 - this comes from the backhaul feed so the quality is top notch
?
Neil @ Glastonbury Festival 2009 - this is the BBC HD Broadcast I replaced the broadcast audio with the recent Timeline Concert Audio for improved fidelity , current rumours suggest that Neil is set headline next year.
?
Willie Nelson & Family - Everything Is Bullshit @ Farm Aid 2024 Micah is very much chanelling Neil on this one very much in the Driftin' Back / Piece Of Crap vein.

Hello Rusties Far and Near! Lurker Jef coming up from Lurkdom with a Christmas Season Offer. Cleaning out a box in a closet, I came upon the following CD's I made a few years back. If you are able to spin CD's and are interested in any of these in particular, email me off list (woole@... (mailto:woole@...)) and let me know which shows interest you, and I'll send them out: one show per person, and first come first served. So let me know your minds! Peace, Jef

Just watched the Treasure blu ray from the Archives 3 and was reminded of a few things:
?
Some of these songs are so good in setting a mood. I felt like I was watching a movie. The songs Bound For Glory, Southern Pacific and Grey Riders in particuar.
Neil looks so young.??
The musicians are amazing. Particularly Ben Keith, Rufus Thibodeaux and Anthony Crawford (who really goes off on the banjo). At times, Neil just looks over at them with this big smile.
The video is a bit frustrating. At times it cuts out completely and they just show the poster instead.?
There's a good variety between slower and faster songs.
So here is my 'remaster' of the new Glastonbury 2009 Timeline concert as a set of 16 FLAC files. The audience sections at the beginning and end have been shortened a little and the acoustic section has been brought up to the same level as the two electric sections so that you don't have to reach for the volume knob. A couple of clunky noises of guitars being plugged in have been removed too.
I read some comments on Facebook that some people thought the sound quality was maybe not as good as it could be ? Sounds OK to me TBH. I do however think it's a shame that a full video version isn't available...the BBC only showed 5 tracks out of the 16 played....Words, Needle, Get Behind the Wheel, RITFW and A Day In The Life. Maybe they wanted too much money for the rest of it, who knows?
Anyway, enjoy, I'll post the Gilleys Rodeo TC as and when it's all done.

PS if you feel like spending some money on something physical, I have my third Iain Matthews box set coming out on Cherry Red Records next Friday December 6th - The Vertigo Years - 5CDs including a newly compiled live album of previously unreleased material, featuring Iain with, among others, Richard Thompson, Andy Roberts, Jim Fogarty, Bradley Kopp, Egbert Derix and BJ Baartmans.

ORPHANS AND OUTCASTS reviews three volumes of his long-deleted rarities series, adding a newly-curated fourth CD of previously unissued rarities from more recent times, bringing the project right up-to-date.
They were The Rockburgh Years and Plainsong:Following Amelia¡..both 6-CD, both on Cherry Red. There are also seven live albums on Spotify and the other digital platforms also via Cherry Red.
