Re: Raspberry Distrobution
I think what he means by "bloat" is that there are a lot of non-essential packages installed by default on Raspian, especially when installing new software via apt-get. I know of several other

Re: I got a Raspberry Pi Now what
I had no intention of putting in KISS mode...Did it once...Had to do a hard reset to get it out of KISS mode. I intend to use it in COMMAND mode or as a digipeater.

Re: I got a Raspberry Pi Now what
Be careful using that KPC+ in Kiss mode as?they are?known for causing delayed packets. They work fine in command mode as a standalone digi.. Max KG4PID ________________________________ To:

Raspberry Distrobution
Looking back into previous topics in the group I didn't not see much about different distrobutions. I currently have my Pi/TNC loaded with raspbian, but like others have mentioned its quite bloated. I

Re: Time lapse photography
Sorry, I didn't make very good notes as this is all I have. 1. Install the standard Raspbian motion package via apt-get. 2. Unzip the motion-mmal tarball into your home folder. 3. Then try running

Re: Time lapse photography
From what I have seen when I did a look up for motion-MMAL, moiton-MMAL is the actual motion program but is a 'special' build by the Pi community to support the Pi camera module. Here's a link that

I am using one of this for my RPi/TNC-Pi combo. It will need some modification but nothing a Dremel tool and cutting wheel can¡¯t handle. Bruce, KQ4TV

I would love to see varieties on this theme. W4RFQ and I (ka2dew) are working on a housing that will hold the Raspberry PI plus 3 TNC-PI and a 12v power-pole input supply for the stack with backup
