Try this with both your IP and also your DDNS address, for all the ports you have forwarding thru your router:

Pi4 Pilinbpq Ports

N3MEL - Glenn

Hello.
?
I Install a clean copy of Pilinbpq on a new Pi4 running 64bit Bookworm. The install was from the 73 Linux distro and seems to be working?
well except!
?
Two new issues.?
?
  1. AXIP MAP station take a long time to reconnect after a reboot they do finally connect. I have a 2nd AXIP port that handles my AREDN tcp connections it connects right away.. I had the same setup on the original pi as well.?
  2. Can not access the BPQ web server or telnet from outside of my network using?. This has to be some sort of permissions problem, if I start the original pi4 w/BPQ it connects fine. I have opened all the same ports on my network for the new pi. If you ping the??it resolves just fine.?
I can connect inside my network with no problem it is only from outside.
?
When I use a port checker 8008, 8015, 8017 all come back as Filtered.?
?
Near as I can tell there is no firewall or iptables running on the Pi.
?
Any thoughts would be greatly apparated
?
All the above ports list have been opened in the port forwarding section of my router as well, and rebooted.?
?
Thank you!

Hi Folks!
The Kantronics KPC-3PLUS is a solid TNC.? My only gripe with Kantronics is that they used the same radio connector as the universally available TNC-2 platform which made cabling a PIA.? Well it doesn't matter as much today, as they are the only major TNC vendor left standing.?

FYI: The TAPR-designed TNC-2 was licensed by MFJ, AEA, GLB, PAC-COMM and others.? When the initial kits were made available by TAPR, we set up a production line in my living room and dining room for eight of us to build, test and operate on a Saturday.? My wife Nancy (N2FWI)'s TNC-2 was the only one that worked the first time without debugging because she solders well and follows direction.? In all honesty the rest of us had the "disability" of having a "Y" chromosome!

Now it works and everything starts well even if I have an image that is not really 100/100 of the monitor but it has an excellent quality. Hamclok is truly a great surprise.

Hi David,?

Once again I was misleading by not providing all the info.?

I downloaded the 32 but version of Hsmrs. I double clicked the icon in the downloads folder. After about 10 seconds the Hamrs app loaded but was very jumpy. The display was blinking and there was nothing to read because of the constantly moving screen. So I just shut it down. This morning I clicked it again?and it started normal where I could add call signs to the log. I then ran hamclock and both apps behaved and ran together.?

Thanks for your help and now I have to find another app to download and try. I’m not sure if appimage did the trick.?

I’ll keep the group posted.?

Hello Dean,

Ok.. good.? So you got the AppImage to start up and run?? You say the program is not stable.. what does that mean?? Is it crashing on you?? Are you seeing any errors?

As for the SD cars sizing, that all depends on what you intend to do with it.? What size card do you have installed right now??? If you open up a terminal window and run the "df" command, what do you see?? As an example:

?? $ df
?? Filesystem???? 1K-blocks??? Used Available Use% Mounted on
?? /dev/root?????? 15242572 4548496? 10042476? 32% /

The above output shows the "/" or root file system having a ~15.2GB SD card and it has 10.0GB free.?? Generally speaking, most Linux programs with their depency packages are usually quite small.

As for adding icons to the desktop, I recommend you do an Internet search for "raspberry pi OS add program shortcut to the desktop" and you'll see a lot of hits.

Hello Dean,

I think my previous email was partially misleading/wrong (sorry about that).? It's important that you download one of the "Raspbian" AppImage files which should work for your Raspberry Pi.? To tell which one you need, log into your Raspberry Pi, open up a terminal window and run the command "uname -a".? Here are two examples:

?? #Notice the "armv6l" string - that means 32bit
?? Linux ampr2 6.1.21+ #1642 Mon Apr? 3 17:19:14 BST 2023 armv6l GNU/Linux

?? #Notice the "aarch64" string - that means 64bit
?? Linux rpi5 6.6.74+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.74-1+rpt1 (2025-01-27) aarch64 GNU/Linux

Knowing if your OS is 32bit or 64bit, you need to download and run the correct AppImage:

?? #This is for 32bit OSes

?? # This is for 64bit OSes

Give that a try and let us know if you still have issues.
