开云体育Hi Folks!
The Kantronics KPC-3PLUS is a solid TNC.? My only gripe with Kantronics is that they used the same radio connector as the universally available TNC-2 platform which made cabling a PIA.? Well it doesn't matter as much today, as they are the only
major TNC vendor left standing.?
FYI: The TAPR-designed TNC-2 was licensed by MFJ, AEA, GLB, PAC-COMM and others.? When the initial kits were made available by TAPR, we set up a production line in my living room and dining room for eight of us to build, test and operate on
a Saturday.? My wife Nancy (N2FWI)'s TNC-2 was the only one that worked the first time without debugging because she solders well and follows direction.? In all honesty the rest of us had the "disability" of having a "Y" chromosome!
;-)

Kantronics still makes a traditional USB in TNC, available from RandL.com

It's very dissapointing to see all units have been discontinued. What are the alternatives to sending email via HF or VHF? > > Dean/ N2TNN > |
