¿ªÔÆÌåÓýBtw.. when you say "Powered it down and went to bed", can you tell us how you shut down your Rpi?? Just to be sure, it's important to understand you cannot just unplug the power.? You have to use the GUI interface to gracefully shut it down and wait to see the 10 blinks of the activity LED before removing power.? If you don't do this, you run the risk of corrupting any storage device be it an SD card, USB SSD, etc.? Usually on the follow-on boot, Linux can recover the file system errors but occasionally.. the Raspberry Pi was writing to critical areas of the storage device when it lose power and that can permanently corrupt the SD card's data. As far as your follow up, that's very strange you're only seeing a black screen.? Can you try booting this Rpi while connected to a different HDMI display?? I've seen all kinds of "slow power on" issues with some HDMI displays (usually TV) that aren't seen on other displays.? You need to observe the output on the immediate power on of the Rpi. --David KI6ZHD On 10/06/2022 09:40 AM, Aaron K5ATG via

Ok my RPI 4 seems to be doing everything possible to really get under my skin. Everything was working just fine yesterday. I spent a couple of frustrating hours of putting all of the radio software I wanted on it, hooked it up to my radio and got everything figured and was actually experiencing CAT control and made some digital QSO's. Powered it down and went to bed. This morning I work up and not much going on so I figured I would get on the radio. Turned on the RPI and absolutely NOTHING. I have it in a ARGON One case because for some reason it will not work in the case that came with it anymore. So all I have is a red LED on on the front of the case. I thought that it ruined another SD card so I pulled the card out and put it in an original RPI and it worked, slow like crazy but it proves that the micro SD card is just fine. Don't know what to do. I have to fight for any progress and then overnight a new problem occurs. I don't understand why it works great and I turn it off and then it doesn't work. Why does it work in the ARGOn case and not the one that came with it? It makes no sense to me. |
