Well, per previous post...LiFePo4 battery pack is done, while I downloaded HamPI v1.3.
afterwards, I pulled out a 32GbSD card out of my SD card /thumb drive junk box... used SDFORMATTER and WIN32DISKIMAGER and could not? cut a bootable SD card...Tried 2 times. FAT and FAT32 formats... Humm....
Time to read the read.me's
Dave documents using BalenaETCHER -Oh boy, yet another SD burner to learn how to use. Good thing I have 2Tb of RAID5 disk storage to store 1 time programs.
For 5 years I've been cutting my RPI SD cards on WIN32DISKMANAGER.
So--- downloaded and ran it. Got a bootable SD card 1st time...So who knows, you may be able to teach a old dog new tricks.
Played with HamPI v1.3 on my RPI400 connected to a Yaesu FT991A. pending a "real antenna-" been raining over a week here. I have the FT-991A on a? 40 meter ham sticks dipole at 15ft. on a vent pipe. My Test antenna. I have other rigs on other antennas. But don't want to keep moving coax connectors.? So by midnight I had the thing working and FT-8 was displaying europeans and JA's. Running 10 watts? I made my 1st FT8 contact on the FT-991 worked VE6, a WL2, W9, W4.. I really wanted to work someone PSK31 and by 00:30 local only 1 CW signal and no PSK31 on 40M.. But plenty of FT8..
So--- Dave has done a great job of packaging this--- just read the instructions.
WSJT-X version does have the new mode FST4 By the way.
Regards to all,
Larry W8LM..
